Okay, If you paid to park at Pizza Hut Park understand you just paid for parking on land that belongs to the City of Frisco. That property was given to the city by the Hunt family for period of 30 years of having the ability to offer soccer and concerts inside the stadium. If the parking lots belong to the taxpayers of Frisco who gets to keep the money from all that parking they collected. My daughter's game was at Carpenter Park in Plano and there was not anyone taking my money. Why? The ...

It seems many of the top D1 teams had a conflict with the Premier League this weekend and weren't able to compete in some of our big local tournaments like Plano Labor Day. Its really not the same here without some of these teams in multiple age groups. I hear both good and bad about the Premier League. Any opinions about the Premier League to share for those of us who may have it to look forward to down the road?

In June an Andromeda boys team was adding lots of players (more than 10 new). On signing day in early July, all the parents were required to show up in the pouring rain at ATF to sign the docs. All signed in about 20 minutes. As soon as the last signature hit the pages, Andro announced that the coach that picked the team was quitting coaching and introduced the new coach.

The shelter had ties to a local club and he worked his way through the ranks, playing 6 pre-season games with a top tier team this year.

http://acoachinglife.wordpress.com/2010/07/14/the-curse-of-fitness/

Laps and wind sprints, laps and wind sprints, laps and wind sprints. I grew up in an athletic environment where these two things played a big role. As I think back to my development and consider how to train my own teams, I think those two things are a complete waste of time. Fitness be damned, I want to teach kids to play soccer.

This might be an impossible question to answer, but I am sure there are some who know and some that just have an opinion. Is there any age group of boys that stand out from the 00's - 94's? I am well aware that it can change but then again maybe it doesn't change that much. Maybe the people to ask that question would be the coaches or parents with multiple kids playing select soccer to get an objective answer.

I hear how great the soccer is in N Texas with all the great clubs etc, but I look at the national youth squads and top international players and where is N Texas? 95 age group has 0 from N texas while VA has 8 and CA 7. 96 N Texas manages to put up 2 with CA at 12 and MI at 14. U14 natinal team N Texas pulls a whopping 3 with CA dropping 10. Not to mention that there are no US players in the top 100 players. What's going ...

So we all had a laugh and a couple drinks and here's what I got. Feel free to add your own.

Top Ten Reasons BB Isn't On the Team This Year

The main problem is that there isn't enough scoring. 90 minutes to work up to 0-0? Too hard to score. (The other extreme is basketball, where someone scores every 20 seconds). So, this can easily be fixed by implementing one or more of the following:

1. Wider and/or higher goal

2. One less field player (with the field left the same size), so that there are more one-on-ones and open space

3. Eliminate the offside rule

Some entrepreneurs should start a league with such change(s). ...

I can see why we have have the bye rule. It makes sense. A team needs to be able to communicate to interested players what division they are in. This shouldn't change just because of player turnover.

What's wrong with these proposals:

1. A club gets 1 Bye in each division. This ...

To paraphrase what Klinsman said after the England-Germany match regarding soccer development in the United States, the development pyramid in the U.S. is upside down. The United States needs to completely revamp our soccer development, and until U.S. soccer reaches out and develops the lower social economic group’s whose ultimate goal is to play professional soccer we will always be a step behind the rest of the world. He equated it to how basketball players are developed in the USA.

Spain's David Villa is the first player ever to score in 4 consecutive WC games. For those who witnessed the best Keeper play in WC history, it's the first time since 1930 that both blocked PK's during match play. First time in history both were also Captains. I love this game!
