98B - TxHotSpur your words are ready

Post  Freeatlast on Sat Mar 13, 2010 5:18 pm

Last summer before the Classic League year began TxHotSpur took the trouble to go on another board that was around to say that the FCD Blue 98 boys in D2 would be D3 next year and Plano the year after, and that “the 3-4 good players left on that team should run somewhere else”. After the games today (March 13), FCD Blue is mathematically safe to stay in D2. If you are around TxHotSpur, under that name or something else, your words are ready to eat. Laughing Laughing

Congrats to FCD 98 Blue for maintaining their D2 bye. They have always been a middle of the road D2 team and I personally never felt they would drop to D3, but...
I believe your biggest concern is the transitioning next Fall to a new coach selected by FCD or continuing with Renfro who would rather stay a U8-U12 coach. Rumor has it, not many parents/kids are willing to hang around to see how things fall out for next Fall. Good Luck to those who decide to stick it out and happy hunting to those who jump ship.

What do you mean by FC Dallas choosing a coach ? For this team?
Heard S Renfro wants to stay another yr.

According to parents on the 98 Blue team, he made it clear he did not want to keep the team next year.
FCD would like him to keep the team at least 1 more year, so if he keeps them it will be because he's being told to and not because he wants to. Not a comfortable position to be in as a parent of a bb on that team....
