Does anyone have SDL scores for these past 2 weekends?

Is DT South 02 playing SDL this season. I dont see them in our schedule.

I always find it interesting when there's a call for scores, but the poster doesn't include the scores for their team...

DT South 02 is playing up to U9 in SDL.

You're absolutely right Debit. I am curious to know the competition level this season in the U8 division.

I would post a score Debit but it wont be relative to this thread.

I'll give you a few scores with some commentary then I'll just hope someone else will post comments about their games.

Solar PFC Bryant 10 (approx.)

I stopped counting after 6 or 7 goals. Liverpool was in a funk. Maybe the boys were tired from playing the Wii too much on Saturday night. Maybe it was the first game of the season with new players. Maybe they are 8 years old and their level of play is inconsistent, but they just didn't show up to play.

Solar Blue 3

This was a fun game and both teams played well. This Liverpool squad was a completely different team than 2 weeks prior. They played a mix of soccer and kickball as most teams do at this age, but they had some really nice possessions and maintained good shape throughout most of the game. I commented to my wife that I didn't care whether they won or loss because they played well. Solar Blue played well too, and had several great shots that hit a post or crossbar.

This game was two different halves. It was 2-0 Liverpool at halftime, but the boys ran out of gas. This was their second game of a doubleheader yesterday, and the first half looked like the first game against Solar Blue, and I thought Liverpool would run away with it, but with a few players missing due to spring break they lost their legs. The defense could not make the plays that were made earlier in the day and Crushers were able to maintain the pressure and started scoring. Once they went up by 2 goals, I think Liverpool packed it in and the boys' heart wasn't in it anymore. Despite the loss, I think Liverpool is a better team (obviously I'm biased). I think if these two teams played 10 times, Liverpool would win 8 of them, but on this day, Crushers had the legs and Liverpool didn't.

I don't think my son's team has played Liverpool. Aside from SDL do they play elsewhere?

This Liverpool team doesn't seem to play a lot of tournaments, but they did play indoor over the winter at Blue Sky The Colony.

Does your son play with DT South 02 (Adames)? I think Liverpool played them in a Primetime tournament last June at Craig Ranch in McKinney. It was crazy hot/humid and DTS killed LP. I was really impressed with that team.

Yes he does play with that team. We got a good set of boys and a good coach. I remember now. We played Liverpool at a Primetime Tourney in Craig Ranch. Boy was it hot out there. I also remember the sunburn I got.
We are playing SDL and in Primetime this season. Even though we play up U9 I still like to keep up with the U8 division.
