Hey German, what do you think about my boy Claudio Pizarro, about to become the highest foreign scorer past Elber in your beloved league? Seems like my three (Pizarro, Farfan, Guerrero) tear it up in the motherland. That Schalke vs Bremen match should be a great one.

Re: Bundesliga
I might be wrong but Pizarro is still one goal behind Elber (132/133). I am sure CP will get the record this season. He is playing really good and had enough chances to decide two games yesterday.
Next weekend Werder will make Bayern the champions by winning in Schalke. Guerrero is done for the season after he was suspended for 5 games after throwing a water bottle at a "fan" who called him a "son of a motherless goat". Farfan is having a great season due to the new coach Magath. Next weekends game will be great and I am looking forward seeing it.

Re: Bundesliga
German, what are your predictions for this weekend? I know who I'm pulling for but I fear the Nerazzurri may be too much. Milito and Eto'o may be drinking deutsch beer afterwards? Speak to me.

Re: Bundesliga
It's the finals so anything is possible. Ribery and Motta are missing the game. Both are important for their teams. A lot depends if Zanetti can control Robben if so it will be hard for Bayern if not they have a good chance. There are a lot of things about the game that are unique. Neither team ever won the triple. When Barca won the UEFA Cup years ago Van Gaal was the coach and Mourinho was his assistant. Both coaches are very direct it's their way or the highway. I am going for a 1-0 for Bayern just becasue I am a homer this weekend and my wife would kick me out otherwise.Axxman wrote:German, what are your predictions for this weekend? Re: Bundesliga
I was floored when I read your post and realized Ribery would not be playing. I honestly don't get it..... I never imagined he would receive anything but the minimum suspension for that tackle, and to find out they added an additional two games for the red is stunning.... We knew Motta was gone.. and good riddance.. I feel a large majority of the Inter squad has been pushing their luck with their play.. but that could also be the bitter Chelsea fan in me..
With that in mind, a strong center ref on this match ( meaning he takes no cr@p from Inter) and this match goes Bayern's way.... Eto, and Milito will be the stars for Inter, but it will all hinge upon Sneijder's midfield play, which has been pretty dern impressive. I can only hope Robben stays in form, but I was really looking forward to watching Ribery steal the show.....
oh well

If Bayern wins, party at the German's house!
How can a Chelsea fan be hoping Ribery steals the show? And besides, when was the last time you heard of the French winning a war?

Re: Bundesliga
The ref team is from England, center will be Howard Webb, who for me is one of the best refs in the world right now. He doesn't take anything from a coach or player. He might let them play more physical than others, maybe a good thing for Inter but who knows. Can't wait for the game to start.
Axx we are playing in a tournament but have no conflict during the finals therefore I have a open house during the game for my players and families to watch it with me.

Re: Bundesliga
hahaha, agree Webb is a great ref... I am confident he will call a good game, and lock down some of Inter's b.s.
and this Chelsea fan is reacting more to losing against Inter than anything. I wanted to kick my tv in while watching Chelsea v Inter.. partly for the lazy play from Chelsea, but mostly from the absurd nonsense Inter was getting away with... but they had to be respected for getting through Barcelona.. but I digress...
I was looking forward to Ribery just ripping through Lucio until that half-wit thug was carded out of the game for retaliation... but again I digress..
will be a good one.... my German lineage demands I go for Bayern... with lots of beer on hand.

I just love yelling Schweinsteiger at the television. What a great footballer name. Axx, speaking of French losers, I heard Henry is coming to the MLS.

Loser! That guy has the best cross over dribble in soccer. In all seriosness I think he will have a bigger impact on the play that Beckham.
Not sure on that one!

Go, that's hysterical! Both of mine wear LA Galaxy Beckham jerseys. Don't see them in a mad dash to get an Henry! Last night, one of the Galaxy trainers stopped by our table and gave us a Galaxy lapel pin. Very cool.

Re: Bundesliga
by impact I mean impact on the play itself not the visability or marketability of the game. Beckham has him beat there. Henry's ability to take on defenders in space should have and immediate impact for NY. Beckham has always been a player that plays bst with other greats out in front.

Re: Bundesliga
I was wrong about Henry jerseys at my house. Apparently, it will be the "must have" MLS for next year. Maybe Smurfie can teach us French.
