    • Briarhill Middle School won three divisions in the recent LISD Middle School Soccer World Cup. The Bulldogs took top honors in the seventh-grade girls, seventh-grade boys and eighth-grade boys divisions.

    • Forestwood MS took first place in the eighth-grade girls division over Lakeview MS, winning in pk's.

Congrats to the winners, but how many schools are in that "world?"

LISD has 15 Middle schools, not sure how many played in the tournament.

    15 Middle Schools x 18/20 roster x two teams (7th and 8th) = around 550 boys

Be interesting to see the percentage of boys that also play Classic and how many were on the winning teams above.

Only 8 of the 15 schools had teams in the tournament. Still alot of boys and girls playing.

Great to see LISD supporting soccer at the middle school level and crowning a Champion! Love it. I met with the AD of our district last month to test the waters on getting MS soccer next year. Budget deficits. No chance. Will have to regroup, reorganize and try again next Fall.
