For those keeping track at home, FCD Crispino is now 2-1 at the King Tut (should be 2-0-1 if not for a last minute fluke goal against Dallas Kicks). Those following closely will see we are using a few guest players this weekend - in the interest of full disclosure. Impact has been relatively minimal IMO.

I'm predicting a relatively easy win tomorrow based on the fact Lopez beat them and we beat Lopez today. Our win tomorrow will put us at 3-1 matching my original prediction and squarely in the top 10-15 ranking discussion (IMO of course).

Saturday's Game Results and Scores:

GOLD
FC DALLAS PREMIER (Dane) 14 - 0 LIVERPOOL FC AMERICA GERRARD (Blanchard)
FC DALLAS YOUTH RED (Gomez) 7 - 0 FC Dallas HAMMERS WEST (Bradford)
FC DALLAS YOUTH RED (Gomez) 0 - 2 FC DALLAS PREMIER (Dane)
FC DALLAS HAMMERS WEST (Bradford) 0 - 3 LIVERPOOL FC AMERICA GERRARD (Blanchard)

DALLAS KICKS SELECAO (Perette) 1 - 0 FC DALLAS YOUTH WHITE (Crispino)
DALLAS KICKS SELECAO (Perette) 3 - 0 DALLAS TEXANS FORT WORTH (Faber)
FC DALLAS WHITE (Crispino) 2 - 0 FC DALLAS NORTH RED (Lopez)

SILVER
DALLAS ROMA FC (Schell) 1 - 2 FC DALLAS CENTRAL BLUE (Topletz)
FUEGO FC (Torres) 0 - 1 FC DALLAS GOLD (Schmugge)
FC DALLAS GOLD (Schmugge) 0 - 3 FC DALLAS CENTRAL BLUE (Topletz)
FUEGO FC (Torres) 2 - 3 DALLAS ROMA FC (Schell)
FC DALLAS EAST WHITE (Seaver) 1 - 5 FC PREMIER GREEN (Opoku)
FC DALLAS EAST (Hedges) 6 - 0 FCUSA TEXAS (Vincent)
FC DALLAS EAST (Hedges) 3 - 0 FC DALLAS EAST WHITE (Seaver)
FCUSA TEXAS (Vincent) 0 - 7 FC PREMIER GREEN (Opoku)

Bronze
LIVERPOOL FC AMERICA ALONSO (Toledo) 1 - 1 DALLAS NORTH BLUE (Molina)

FC DALLAS SILVER (Seaver) 0 - 6 DALLAS COSMOS BLACK (Dapaah)
FC DALLAS NORTH BLUE (Molina) 3 - 3 COLLEYVILLE SA EVOLUTION GREEN (Scannell)

Game surprises in my opinion:

DALLAS KICKS SELECAO (Perette) 1 - 0 FC DALLAS YOUTH WHITE (Crispino)
I hate to admit it, but I didn't think the score would be this close at all.

DALLAS KICKS SELECAO (Perette) 3 - 0 DALLAS TEXANS FORT WORTH (Faber)
3 to 2 would have been what I expected. Did not expect a shut out.

FC DALLAS WHITE (Crispino) 2 - 0 FC DALLAS NORTH RED (Lopez)
I figured it would be close, but thought Lopez would pull out a win.

FUEGO FC (Torres) 0 - 1 FC DALLAS GOLD (Schmugge)
Glad Schmugge got a win, but whats happened to Fuego as they got beat by Roma as well?

Sorry FarNorth, but you may want to check your scores or schedule again.  Crispino plays DT Faber. Lopez lost against DT Faber 3 - 0, but you probably already knew that.

I'm guessing that FC DALLAS EAST (Hedges) was once FC DALLAS EAST (Riojas). Anyone know for sure?

That game was 0-0 until our keeper got kicked in the wrist while holding the ball, btw no red card when it clearly was.   In my opinion we should have won that game or at least tied it. We subbed our injured keeper and the kicks got a luck goal from a corner with 3 seconds left in the game.

Its all part of the game though, we get it.

rdeal486,

You must have quite a bit of time on your hands. You asked which post is it? It's all 3.

I have answered all your questions in all your previous posts. Now I have some for you.

1) Does your coach know you are on this board accosting other users?
2) Does he condone this behavior?

Just guessing here, but if he wouldn't appreciate parents on his team posting about winning (see quote below from someone who is a friend of his), he prob wouldn't appreciate some of the posts you are making as well. But you've been on the team 2.5 years, so you prob know what he likes and doesn't.

sukiakiman wrote:As a friend of Coach Vin..(I don't play on his team) do him the favor of not posting this crap about his team being top 10, 20, 30....I am sure he would appreciate it....He doesn't care about winning...he cares about developing...this nonsense of who's better is crap...let the games be played...the answer will then be told....you are what your record says you are...end of story.

Looks like your team is on its way to having a successful tournament and backing up that top ranking some of your parents boasted about. Congrats.

Quick Question for the Crispino love feast going on..... What Teams did these Minimial Impact Guest Players come from? If they start over your current players than they are more important than you think to the end results. If they sit the bench and only come in to give the starters a rest than Congrats on your current results at King TuT

Love feast thats funny, I guess we heard it all. We had 2 guests players to help give a breather to our team since 3 of our starters are on vacation.

Just so we're all clear and to contribute to the Crispino love feast, one guest plays rec and the other hasn't played in a while and just started playing again.

Let's not discredit the work our coach and kids have put into building this team.

Alas, my prediction of FCD Crispino going 3-1 this weekend fell just short and we ended up 2-2. Still exceeded expectations for us.

Answering an earlier post, the guest players we had were decent and played what I would say to be a considerable amount. I don't know of their exact background or whether they would be considered better than what we were missing - likely negligible with the slight nod to the guests being better. Believe the guests scored 2 of the 3 goals we had this weekend (if memory serves me correctly).

I saw some people have fun with my "top 10-15" mentions. Good stuff btw! People might see this team and not think much of us - and honestly they'd probably be right. We don't show great on the field - some smoke and mirrors involved. At this point it basically boils down to our back line and a good goalie more or less. But it's working pretty well so we'll go with it and ride the wave as long as we can. Enjoyable discussion though!

Coach Hedges was looking to take over a team so he decided this 05 team needed a higher qualified coach to move them into select I guess that's not wrong, but the team was playing well No need to "Fix it if it's not broken" I am sure they told the parents a cover up excuse to keep the parents happy. We see this in Frisco quite a bit "The Coach is stepping down" kind of excuse. I hope Coach Riojas keeps coaching that's all!
