What 99 teams will be playing in Plano this season?

Are there really no 99 teams playing in Plano this year?

east dallas yea they finished 6th but had a stingy defense! i heard they just acquired a couple of strong D2 players(cost cuts) so they should take it all!

We are now starting a new team name( Pachuca F.C.) and plan on playing in Plano.

Is the United black the same united team that played PPLD1 last year or a new United team? And has anyone heard anything on who the W.F. Xpress, Tlapehuala or the Southlake teams are? I know the McKinney Black hawk team is a brand new to select team.

the United team from last year moved up to D3 and rightfully so they will do extremely well!

The challenge last year for them was not the play. I know of at least three games were they only had 10 players. They are well coached and if they put it together and keep a full team they will be at the top.

yea you are so correct! keeping a roster of 11 was tough enough much less a full 16 player roster!

Omega, Figured so. They did very well last year. Any word on the other teams I mentioned? The Nationals had a very good team last year even though the were in PPLD2 which in my opinion was a huge mistake. They were at least a PPL D1 team. I didn't see them on the registered teams list though for this year. Wondering if they moved clubs or just disbanded.

Nationals team disbanded players went to both United teams (cl and Plano) and Pachuca

well now i'm hearing the Boca jrs(now Pachuca) lost a couple of key players to FC Toros so hopefully they picked up some good ones from the nationals?

so that being said how do you rank them to start the season?

Okay so I have not watched Triumph, TFC Blue or Boca Jrs(Pachuca) play so I have to play these ones by ear. If you know them better feel free to interject. I am also looking at who they played (the ones I know) in the qt. This is a rough ranking system as I don't know all the teams well. I am not exactly the best one to ask for this but oh well here is how I see it right now.

The following PPL teams will be playing in the silver division of the Plano Labor Day Tournament: Manchester (white), Manchester (blue), TLSC (orange), FC Toros, and Triumph. Manchester (white), FC Toros and TLSC (orange) are in most people's top (4). Hopefully some of these teams will bet to play each other. Might give us a better gauge of where these teams will fall.

Last years season results:

Manchester (white)- 10-3-7 - 3rd - PPL DI
TFC - 10-5-5 - 4th PPL DI
Pacucha - 6-9-5 - 8th PPL DI
TLSC (orange) - 6-10-4 - 9th PPL DI

I will say the Pachuca(formerly Boca jrs) has shown a stingy defense especially in one tourney where they played all D1 teams and only allowed 3 goals i know thats alot but still D1 vs PPL but they did lose players to Toros who blew out teams in the PPL QT?

In that tournament did they have their roster of did they have 5 strong guest players from another team? At this age the right 5 players could completely change a team. With that being said I have heard from teams that played them last year they are very tough and would have had better results if they could have consistently fielded 11 players.

I didn't think in QTs you could use guest players?

oh but i just spoke with a player from Pachuca and even though they lost 2 great players they did pick up those classic league players so they should be stronger!

My response was to a tournament Pachuca played in and played well against D1 teams. They had a bye so they did not participate in the PPL qualifying tournament.

I have heard they are a very good team. I am looking forward to seeing them play. Hopfeully when they show up on our schedule we bring our "A" game.

S4 what team does your BB play for?

He plays for Triumph. We have a much deeper team than we had in Classic League last year. Hopefully that will translate into better results this season. Only time will tell.

I think we will finish a little higher than predicted on this thread.

yeah

I have now seen a couple of these teams play. Manchester SC has a really nice team. Great back line, really strong goalie and a really good forward. TFC plays hard and with a great deal of passion.

Looking forward to the season starting this week.
