GO, Klinsman is trying to rebuild the system that is US Soccer. Look at the changes that are taking place today at the youth level. These are decisions that start at the top and are heavily influenced by him.

I believe we are moving in the right direction, but it will take another generation to get there.
It wasn't us and it won't be our kids. It will be their kids.

What we need most is a cultural understanding from the parents of what it takes to groom a successful player. We still have a large majority of parents who never played the game, so they really can't see through the bs and demand something different. The next generation of players will have more history and experience behind them.

NOW NOW THERE!!! just go back and look at all of the great talent these coaches have ID'd over the years. I don't know where the players are that they ID'd but surely they are top professionals somewhere. No, you say? Oh! that's right US coaches Suck at youth player identification. i see technically proficient players every weekend out "touch" the BFS boys but no one is going to make a pool of those boys to watch until they reach puberty. that would be to boring. i think i agree with 99

Superior Aztecas has shut my mouth. I thought for sure that FC Premier (Forzi) was going to dominate D2.
Aztecas won 2-1 last.

To be fair, Forzi was without his top player due to injury.

This is an odd sidebar considering that we’re discussing “Which playing style is better”.

So 1 player on the Forzi squad determines the result of an entire game or season?  When this 1 kid is absent, losing is suddenly the expectation?  Do the other kids still get to play when he’s not there?  Or is his position left vacant in the starting lineup as everyone on the sideline wears black armbands and mourns the upcoming 90 minutes?

It doesn’t sound like this is a very balanced squad if everything rides on 1 player’s attendance.

So is this another style?  Now we have 3 official styles here in NTX?  “Kickball”, “Possession”, and “Get the ball to Timmy at all costs because we depend on him for everything”?
