Is it true that the biggest Figo salesman for the last three or so years, and the maker and stirrer of the Koolaid vats, Mr. Plantit, has bailed for greener pastures? Say it isn't so.............!

Well at least the 99 has stayed the course of FCD. Is that like trading spit for saliva?

Are you saying the 99s have left Fego, but stayed with FCD? Tom Toms say that Fego has other issues such as petitions from parents against his assistant coaches training/coaching the 99s as well as multiple defections from his 2000 academy team...fact/fiction?

No problem with the 99 team -still intact - and doing fine.

There have been several 2000's that are looking around at other teams and so I don't think the team is stable. In fact they have just been removed from the Kyle Owen Tournament this weekend. I heard about the 99 petition but heard nothing about the content including assistants.

that petition is old news (way before memorial day) - everything has been taken care of and the assistant coach is no longer involved with Figo or the gold team. - again the 99 team is in good shape and doing well.

Heard the 00s may not make, lots of spots open as players are out looking. Not so sure that 99 petition is dead Question Exclamation

Figo's 97 kids have definitely been seen at other tryouts.

The petition is old news and is irrelevant at this point. He is a great developer of young players and will continue to be, so enough of the gossip / drama / speculation.

Looks like "forbin" took over the koolaid cannister from Plantit!
The gossip, speculation, and drama say that both of Plantit's boys have been offered great spots....with different "developers." Good luck to them, they have good reps with the other boys.

Say it ain't so. Plantit almost had me convinced to drink the "koolaid" mysel--NOT. I am truly disappointed if he didn't stick around to see Figo get his 99 bb get to the spot he always talks about the 97s getting to. "Winning doesn't mean anything. It's all about development. Just look at the 97s. Blah, blah, blah." I guess at some point, it is about winning. Even for Plantit.

No, you have it all wrong... bb won't be back with Figo, but I do give the man a lot of credit for being a great developer after seeing what he did with bb and many others this year. I just get tired of seeing people post so much negative crap about him.

So, your bb has left Figo? What about Plantit's bbs? What's going on over there if all of Figo's biggest supporters over the last two plus years are leaving?

It's just too far of a drive for us, can't do it anymore. I wish him and Gold all the best though.

You still didn't answer the question about Plantit but I did find confirmation in the 97 forum that his bb is not one of the "13-14 committed players" on that team. Since he has gone uncharacteristically silent, can you fill us in on what happened there?

Just figured out who Forbin is. We just want to hear from Plantit himself. I mean, we've had to listed to him tell us all how Figo is a God, the best thing since sliced cheese, the long term guru, etc. etc. etc. and 1000 more etcs. So lets hear it Plantit, what could possibly cause Jesus himself to separate from the Holy one?

From the "97 Players/Teams Looking" forum:

randee42 wrote:plantit, are you one of the 13-14 committed players??? Curious on who is and who is not coming back. This team should be up for a reality tv show with all the drama that has been out in the East. Sad thing is, the boys are the ones who suffer.
Plantit's response: No. And yes, it's sad for the boys.

Come on, Plantit. Spill it. What happened. I have never seen you this quiet before. Is Figo still a God? Does the drama involve him, an assistant, Pamela Anderson? What's up?

To tame the masses. Both boys were with him for 4 years. Yes I still believe he is a great developer. With the older ones size, ( hasn't hit puberty yet ) we felt he may struggle with the size and speed of d-1 ( not skill wise) WE as parents wanted to change some things up for him and take him out of his comfort level to re ignite his passion and refresh his play. It would also subject him to a different style of training thus adding to the experience. The younger one was just offered a chance to grow and be trained in a top environment. and for some of the same reasons we looked at the situation and took it. It was not an easy decision , both kids left behind friends and a coach they loved . Anyone who has seen either play would agree that they were trained very well, they understand the game, they have good technique, and can play the game at a high level. For that, we owe the man you are all trying to fry a great deal. Anyone considering him as a coach , I would say your kids will become better players for it.

Still don't give a crap about winning or the prestige of d-1 d-2 ect , thus the move to d-2 for 1 and the move to d-1 for the other. both started and played 90 to 100% of the game . So it taint bout playtime . It's just about a change and what WE, the PARENTS, of OUR boys. decided to do with OUR children.

    Plantit,
That was a well thought out answer that I believe was precipitated by a well thought out decision. It was hard decision for us to leave Figo and the team during PAL. I still respect him as a coach.
I also do not care about the so called "prestige" associated with the league. I am glad that my boy is playing, developing, and enjoying this great game. Maybe, just maybe, the competitive drive I see developing in him will help him later on in life as an adult in the "real world".
