    Yes, its really getting boring.

So, what is the scoop on all the teams in D1? Here is what I have heard:

Texans: New coach and several new players
Andromeda: New coach and several new players
    Texans South: Several new players
FC Dallas: New coach and several new players
    Solar Red: ????
    Texas Gunners: ????
    Comets: ????
Titans: Did the FWFC team really move?
    Barcelona: ????
Solar Blue: Did the Chivas team move to Solar?

Which teams got stronger? took a step back? stayed about the same?

Texans: New and great coach with a few very nice pick ups. I expect stronger than last season.
Andro: The special one and new mix of players to execute his style. Should be very interesting.
Texans South: Some very nice new players. Maybe the most exciting team out there. Could push DT
FC Dallas: New coach and mosttly the same core group. Coach is bringing something new to NTX.
Solar Red: A mystery but lost a few good ones, maybe replaced by a few others. Could be in for a long year
Texas Gunners: Haven't heard a thing
Comets: Quite a few really nice pick ups. Could be a team to watch. Not sure about the coaching.
Titans: In for a long year.
Barcelona: Some very nice additions to my favorite team. If new kids can play into the Barca style then another team to watch
Solar Blue: Maybe lost a few. Sure they were able to pick up some. Will be fighting red for the top slo-er spot

I think D1 will be a dogfight amonst the top 3(Andro Red,DT,and DTS) and then Comets blue,FCD,Barcelona, and Solar Red will fight for the middle spots and the rest trying to stay out of the bottom!

Teams should go after andro early. A lot of changes going on over there. Could be some growing pains. Once they get going that could end up being a very strong team. The top 3 do look set to remain that way.

Go after Andro early, we'll go after the others later...

Could not be happier with ML, what he is teaching right now is superb and it's too bad some of you missed the boat, it may just sail right by you. He certainly has a way of getting the boys focused now with the long term in mind and I haven't seen these boys this passionate before. Should be an interesting season, may take us a while to gel and adapt to the new system, but once that happens, hasta la vista baby.

Go, shouldn't you be prognosticating and analyzing in the '98 forum these days?

I just thought since your bb was playing with a '98 team now you would be more concerned about what's going on in that forum...just sayin'

I have zero interest in this age group but having an older one that played under Marcio.....he will make your team better no doubt...but he can be BRUTAL on his players!

The "shocked" stories are starting to filter out of Andro from the parents because Andro coaches don't usually use that tone of yelling.

That's funny, wonder who's doing the filtering.....

Other Andro coaches don't use that tone of voice, c'mon, wake up would ya! He can be hard on kids and perhaps needs to work on his delivery a little, but he tells them like it is and the ones that can handle it improve and move on. The ones that can't handle it, well I guess that remains to be seen, at least on our team. It's usually the parents that can't handle it, the kids are typically ok with it the majority of the times and by the time practice is over, it's all good. Parents should not be allowed to watch pratices anyhow, it just causes more harm than good imo.

I agree - our team has a policy - parents must be behind a certain line, which is quite a distance from the boys. And they are never allowed to step onto the soccer fields and approach the coach during a practice. It works out great - well for most, but you are always going to have a parent that is never happy...

I agree - our practices separate the players and parents, on the field - it's between the coach and the players. You really notice the difference when you go to another practice or camp and hear a parent cheering or coaching from the sideline. Separation is good so the players focus on the coach versus mom and dad!

It gets better as they get older. If the parent does not realize they are making a fool of themselves, the player does and eventually says something. The flip-side is parents on older teams sometimes say things about other players that create problems with other parents. Its never perfect.

LOL - I bust a gut when I hear cheering at practices. My dd's team does that and and it slays me every time...as Allen Iverson stated 'it's PRACTICE'!

At a recent skills I overheard a mom tell her son 'go out there and kick some a**!' He looked at her like she had lost her mind!
