Re: PAL? CAL? SDLII? or Primetime
In response to PAL's re-organization, the Greater Lewisville Area Soccer Association (GLASA) has created the Elite Academy League.
The EAL is an NTSSA-sanctioned academy league that will play on Sunday afternoons at Railroad Soccer Complex and Lake Park Soccer Complex. The league is open to boys and girls teams from all clubs across North Texas.
The GLASA website will be updated this week, but here is the information you need to know about the Elite Academy League:
Format:
U9 Silver, U9 Gold = 9v9, 25-minute halves
U10 Silver, U10 Gold = 9v9, 25-minute halves
U10 Platinum = 11v11, 30-minute halves
All teams will be scheduled to play 10 games. If rain affects the schedule, GLASA guarantees that all teams will play at least 8 games.
Each game will have 3-person crews of competitive-level referees.
Other benefits of the EAL:
- Teams are eligible for all NTSSA-sanctioned tournaments
- Schedule requests taken in order to work with coaches with mutliple teams in EAL and Girls Classic League (which also plays at Railroad)
- Use of Gotsoccer for online registration, game schedules, posting scores, and record keeping
- Referee fees included in registration fees
- Nets and corner flags provided by GLASA
Registration link: https://www.gotsport.com/forms/app/?EventID=11992
Registration deadline: August 31st
Registration fees: 9v9 = $650, 11v11 = $700. This is for a 10-game season and includes all referee fees.
If you have additional questions, feel free to email Mike Malone at general.manager@glasasoccer.org
