Yes, but then it wouldn't be any fun....
1. DT Gall - This is the best passing team in this age group. They have a tremendous first touch and control the mid-field extremely well. They have an explosive forward that can beat just about any defender. If you foul them in your defensive zone you can pretty much consider it in the net with that lefty they have now. I would have seen this team as the Solar 98 team that didn't lose a game in years under Marcio, but not sure now. I do believe these parents will also bail the first sign of not dominating the entire age group.
2. FCD Premier - Team is still improving. They play very well as a team. The coach will drop his best players to defend as soon as they get up on you and make it extremely tough to score on them. Score on them first, or you're in for a long game. Pino has done very well with the team. Boys seem to like him, but not so sure about the parents.
3. Wizards - Extremely physical and well balanced. They run up and down the field all game long making up for their lack of posession game. They have playmakers upfront and a stingy defense. Not sure what to think about Burciaga, the progress of this team seems steady, but not a fast one.
4. TFC Wells - Probably even more physical than Wizards. These boys will leave some bruises on you! They will beat up on the lower half of the teams, but will struggle with the top ones. They need one more forward to compliment the really good one they have. The coach is a very good one and has a good grasp of the team and parents.
5. Bandits - I feel terrible ranking them as #5, but I may have been wrong previously stating that they may have improved after the loses they took. They don't control the midfield as well as they did and this will be exposed when they play the top teams. They will still dominate the bottom half of D1 teams. The coach is fantastic and I just hope the rest of the parents don't bail on him if they don't end up in 1st or 2nd place.
6. Solar Partain - Best of the two Solar teams, but incredibly inconsistent. This group is very scrappy and dominate when they play their possession game. They get themselves in trouble when they try to just get it up to the forwards and when teams counter. Defense a little suspect. Coach is very good and should be able to upgrade the team next season even more.
7. Andromeda Red - This team will be better in the Spring as the team gels. I think they will have problems scoring, but ML will get them to play a very structured midfield and they will make it tough on other teams to score as well on them. If they get a favorable fall schedule, they might be in the Top 5 by the end of the U11 year. Do I even need to comment anything on ML?
8. FCD Spencer - One of my favorite teams to watch. This coach has done more with less than anyone else. Very good possession game and one of the best in changing the field on you. Each player on this team has to give 100% each game for the team to be successful, and they usually do. Spencer is an under rated coach. I think very highly of him.
9. Solar Red - Over rated. The team did not improve after the merger with DT South. Don't think this team will be Top 10 very long. Didn't like anything I saw from them during the QT. Coach has done a good job when he's had the talent. Not so sure now that the talent level went down on his team.
10. Tigres - Team plays what North Texans consider "kickball", but they are effective at it. They have a very good right forward that can will win most of his 1 on 1's. Good speed in the middle and back that make up for a lot of their mistakes. Don't know much about this coach.
Just my observations, and I'm sure the majority will disagree, but only time will tell. Anyone else?

Pretty good Indy, 2-5 are interchangeable for me after watching this weekend and 6-10 can all beat 2-5 but I don't think consistently. The synopsis is good as well. You watch a lot of soccer!!!

Re: 00 Rankings
This is more of a general comment than specific to the teams. To the top teams, don't buy your own hype. Clubs in Plano & Arlington, you can play in Classic I if you work at it. Of COURSE the top clubs blow teams away this Fall. The clubs attracted a lot of talent and boiled it down to put the top team of 10-11 year olds on the field, their version of a "Dream Team". The big clubs had a larger talent pool, but they don't have a crystal ball. Some top players will continue to be top players but a number of players on the 11-20, 21-30 and even Plano & Arlington leagues will ultimately become just as good or better. As this happens the gap that exists now will narrow. The big clubs will look to the single team clubs as farm teams and try to recruit the top player or two (and drop one of the presently ordained "stars" in the process). Of course, the big teams have good coaches and some parents will wish their bb to be coached by them or just the prestige of playing on a Div I team and will also make the jump. Quality skills coaching, teamwork, injuries, burn-out, other sports, finances and pure luck will shape the ultimate destination of your kids by the time they reach U-19 more than the QT and year 1 game results. Some of the top teams will be looking for national recognition. Some of the teams below them will be looking for the big upsets and have a lot of fun when they get it. But at 10-11, it had still better be about having fun because if its not, at 15-16 it'll be more about girls, cars and "freedom" from the soccer grind.

Re: 00 Rankings
Well Middie, I guess that just about sums it all up, I know I couldn't have said it any better.
One Question, how long have you been around the North Texas Soccer scene? You sure seem to have it figured out.
I really like the farm team quote.
It's definitely easier to win when you pluck all the best players from the smaller clubs.
I'm courious to see how some of them like being the little fish in a big pond.

Here are the QT results for each week with teams ranked by tournament points first, goal differential second, and one tie breaker between teams #17 and #18.
It will be interesting to see how the order changes by the end of the year.

Solar us usually a Dallas / North Dallas team. Solar Red is usually a West Dallas / Arlington / HEB / Fort Worth team. Then again, I've seen Solar Red be mostly Dallas kids too.

It is interesting looking at the list of 20 in D1. I will be interested to see how the rankings change over the course of the year.
Does anyone have any predictions for who will out perform or under perform the list as shown?

Texans, Solar, Andro, FCD, TFC will all be respresented in D1. One of the "small" clubs may have one or two in D1, but will probably be in D2. Next year, many of those "small" clubs will dispand and scatter to the four winds. Eventually, probably two years from now, D1 and D2 will mostly by bigger club teams with a few small clubs teams mixed in because they have quality coaching.

Do you differentiate between the small clubs like Tejanos, ASG, Strikers, Hurst & Liverpool and those clubs that may not have a team at another age group? Are there any teams not mentioned that fall into the category of those 5?

When I say small clubs, I mean smaller than those you mentioned. I'm talking about the 1-2 team clubs. They just don't seem to have the staying power.

TFC Blue is probably not in a relegation position (should be mid-pack) & AC Longview is also mid-pack.

Your comment on TFC Blue is based on, the win over Mansfield in the first round of QT. They played four tournaments this spring and only have two wins over TFC Phillips. They lost to AC Longview 6 - 0 in the QT. They will be in relegation position.

Its based on watching them play. The coach is working on ball distribution and other skills, from what I saw and it will show results this coming season. They obviously aren't there yet but also come from a stronger organization than some of the teams shown above them. I wouldn't put too much stock in the last game of a 2-week qualifier for a team already eliminated from Div I. My main point is that they should not be 9 or 10, probably 6-8. As for Longview, they only scored in 2 of 6 games. As always, it is just an opinion & only time will bear out whether it is right or wrong.

Re: 00 Rankings
DT White should be top 4. I watched their game against Odyssey and they
were losing 1 - 0 with 10 min. left. White's coach pulled the tall
center back they have and moved everyone up to try and score. Odyssey
put up 3 additional goals in the next 5 minutes or so. That 4 - 0 score
was misleading.
