How is everyone doing in their tournaments?
In Regional Premiere League:
On Saturday SR Stricker won 5-2 vs Chivas Houston.  Liverpool lost a close one vs Brazos Valley 1-0.
On Sunday SR Stricker won 7-0 vs San Antonio Texans, ODY scored 2 goals in the 2nd half to beat a good OKFC team & LP Rush came up short vs TSC Hurricanes 2-1.  Good luck today NTX teams.  ODY plays Brazos Valley.  I predict they'll have better luck than LP Rush did & win 2-0.  LP Rush will bounce back to get a 2-1 win against the Lonestars who were shocked yesterday in a 4-0 loss to San Antonio Texans.  Solar Red vs OKFC could be interesting.  SR has played lights out in the 2nd half of games so if OKFC can keep it even in the 1st half, plays 11 on defense in the attacking 1/3 & has the fitness to stay with SR it could come down to the wire.

We had a great time down in Austin once we got there. It took 5 hours when it normally takes around 3 to get there.

The best part about a travel tournament like that is that the boys get to spend more time together away from the field and build friendships and that team bond. We started out great with a couple of wins, but it was win the bracket or go home. We lost a tough 1-0 game to the team that eventually won our bracket. Let's hope that we can get the rest of our season in without too many rain outs.

2-1 for Nebraska Blue. Neb scored two goals in the first half but Ayses battled back. Just couldn't get the equalizer. Glad to hear our teams from NTX are representing well (PLD, SRPL, etc.).

Sounds like the Neb FC team gave us all a heck of a challenge. Congrats to DT South for their win over Neb FC, too bad you didn't get a chance to face them in the final, but a win against them is a mini tournament victory in itself.

Andro got beat by Neb FC twice in the tourney so now would be a good time to figure how they did it to further strengthen your team play. Sometimes a good loss against a strong team helps you tune up in areas you haven't had to defend before.

Ayses should be proud for making the final and hanging tough to the last minute. Congrats to Ayses on a good showing and for representing us in the final.

Nice showing for an AYSES side that plays good fundamental soccer... Making the final is validation that NTX is well stocked with quality teams... Well done AYSES!!!

The three Dallas Texans Fort Worth teams coached by Jim Faber which went to Houston had a very successful weekend. The 02 Dallas Texans Red FTW team lost the semi-final in PKs 4-3. Both the 04 and 02 Dallas Texans Fort Worth teams brought home first place. between the three teams we played 13 games. We won 11, tied one and lost the one semi-final game.

This was a very well run tournament and the three teams had a great time socializing together.

Regional Premier League games this weekend:
Odyssey vs Lonestars
I'm predicting a nice 4-0 win.

LP Rush vs OK FC today
I'm predicting a tough 1-0 win.  The OK FC keeper is pretty good but you boys can crack that defense if you make the extra pass.

LP Rush vs IDC tomorrow
I'm sure Solar & ODY would appreciate it if you would beat IDC but I don't see it happening.  You're basically playing FCDP, a good team with 4 club pass PA players.  If you can handle the black kid playing forward & Mr Ponytail you have a chance but if you leave them for a second it will get ugly fast. Unfortunately I don't see a win here.  I predict a 4-0 loss Sad

Good luck ODY & LP Rush! Represent NTX Classic League with your usual class & strong soccer.

Thanks for the update my friend.  I heard the same thing from another dad on your team..90% possession but just didn't finish Sad sorry to hear that.  You guys have played a lot of games in a short period of time here lately & an emotionally draining game Wednesday night didn't help.  On the bright side it's a tie instead of a loss so you did pick up SRPL points & you're only 3pts behind ID Club with 1 less game.  As long as you beat them then I think you go into the playoff in 2nd place by 3 points & if Solar falters...you could be 1st.  You guys will be fine : )

LP Rush update

Game 1 lost to OKFC (1-5, just one of those games)

Game 2 beat ID Club Division (1-0, like a completely different team than the one that lost to OKFC)

The LP Rush win over ID Club Division should help Ody move into 2nd place.
