yes you are missing something. It should not have been a competative tournament. Slo-er red should have run away with the tournament. You can't lose to a 00 team and expect to be competative with the top 99 teams.

I disagree to a point. They are the class of the 00's and have been practicing hard for qualifying since the 1st of July. Solar red like most 99's still have had kids on vacation and have hardly hit their stride. Also, questions about motivation playing 00's taking them lightly, not in shape in blazing heat, ect....I would venture to say if they played in say a November tournamnet after the fall season the outcome would be what you would think... Solar red has talent....Now solar blue I see them in a fight for the 8th and final spot to stay in d1 next year.

Okay. I guess what you're saying is that, under no circumstances, should a good 99 team lose to a great 00 team. Teams have bad games, bad days, bad tournaments. That doesn't make them bad. It just makes them human. Go ahead and write them off now after one bad game. I thought pre-season tournaments were for working out kinks and Solar Red has some new players to try to figure out. Despite that, they won the Puma Cup and finished second in Oklahoma. How about this--your team go scrimmage the 00 Gall and see how you stack up, then come on here and run your mouth if it's justified. Just a thought.

Go will run his mouth anyway, that's why he is so entertaining. JK. In theory SR shouldn't loose but I know that the 00's scrimaged the 99's a few times and were able to hold their own.

I think my team would do fine against the Gall 00's but doubt we would bother:D . BB Scrimmaged against them at the Texan camp with the 99's that was a mix of 99 kids that didn't play together and it wasn't very competative. Great team and some great attackers but no capes and they are still just 00's. Slo-er has been practicing also I am sure. Not sure where you are playing but most of the 99's haven't been just kicking back and relaxing. Oh, BTW not after one bad game, I wrote them off last year after several bad games. The heat, pre season, stars were out of alignment, could have been any number of things. Also could be the players they lost had a bigger impact than the coach expected. As an example, Gall 99's played the Rev 98 team. A bottom half 98 team with a ton of new players and an incomplete team. The 98's won by a large margin even though by all accounts the Gall team may have played better soccer. BTW love the Gall team but I think FCD premier 00 is top of the class in that age group.

Go, I believe the 00 group will end Classic next year with DT on top, then everyone else below. They are good up front, strong in the middle and have a fortress for defense. What does the Premier team have?

Not sure and I would be happy to see Gall finish on top. The few pre qualifying tournaments I believe the 00 premiers had enough to finish on top in those.

Well, we'll have to wait and see. DT Craft played against FCD Premier in the King Tut Tournament and lost 1-0. We also played the Bandits and lost. The one we didn't get a chance to see was DT Gall. From their performance in QT, I think I'll be happy with a decent loss. I heard Gall was barely playing some of his starters during QT. I'd place my bet on de Gall.

What airline are you two flying? "In event of an emergency landing, please give $50 to a flight attendant for the flotation fee," to release the device from the seat bottom.

Still with Tyler Azzurri so I don't have a dog in this fight. I just think it's shady the way you degrade 11 year olds by calling them "Slo-er". How many bad games did your bb's team have last year? You get on here and ramble about development and how it's not about winning and then you bail for greener pastures and beat your chest about how good your new team is and how they would easily handle Gall's 00s. Prove it. Why wouldn't you bother? Scared?

Impressed by Gall's team and agree with the praise being thrown out about their "potential". I disagree with the comments about Premier, they enjoyed 60 days of success by playing over the summer when many were not. They will finish in the Top5 or 6 but no way are they a lock to be 1 or 2. Still not sure how they ended up with the #1 seed when they lost 3-4 games in the summer tournaments and tied 2-3 others, but whatever. Time will tell.

They tied the Texans once at the beginning of the summer but prior got spanked repeatedly.

They beat the Bandits once out of 5-6 tries.

Split with the Wizards in some close ones

    Good but not great.

Now you are insulting another person's kid on here? Seriously? I don't know GO99 or his son but if I were you I would watch your back. And, I would think about using normal english. You have chosen to hide behind an anonymous screen name AND hide behind using fragmented sentences and baby talk. Ridiculous. If you are going to trash someone else's kid on this board you should have the guts to post your name and address.

I think the "post" is just a request to not trash a Child. That is pretty much an unwritten rule. It's called respect.

First, you're not anonymous on here for long. Second, this site is intented for parents to bs about soccer all day, even be ridiculous at times. Whenever someone calls out a child specifically, you'll have to answer to that in person at some point.

I agree that the purpose of this site is to talk about soccer but that does not include dogging on someone else's child or even commenting on a child's abilities. And doing so in broken english baby talk makes Godzilla appear to be an even bigger jackass. "If you can't say something nice, then just shut up."

Didn't bail on my team. The old team doesn't exist. I also didn't invent the "slo-er" but guess that hasn't made it all the way out to east texas. It's more of a fun poke at the solar club and nothing to do with the 11yr old but I am sure they appreciate your concern. Could have used a little of that concern for BB's team last year when they took a bashing but it was mysteriously absent. As far a bad games they only had a couple of them and on in which they won. The rest they just got beat in. I am being all secretive and mysterious on here like everyone else so yes they wouldn't bother with a 00 team and no not scared at all. Are you suggesting that the Gall 00 team would be a legitimate top 5 99 D1 team?

I really don't care if they appreciate my concern or not and no it hasn't gotten all the way out here to Deliverance land where we all talk funny. Did I bash your team last year? If I did, I'm sorry and it was wrong. If I didn't but failed to defend them like I seem to be doing for Solar, I'm also sorry if I hurt your feelings. You did plenty of bashing of Azzurri and its parents last year which I took in stride and I even joined in and poked a little fun at us as well. I'm not suggesting anything about how Gall would fare against the 99s in D1 other than to say that they are a great team that can win a tough game against older boys under the right circumstances which is what happened. I was more commenting on Solar's bad game in that tournament than making any comments about Gall 00s.

yes and that is the jist of my original post. Why such an extreme bad game and what does it mean for "solar red". They did lose some very good players so what will that impact be this season. Basically how does this shake up the top 5. BTW my feeling were a little hurt Crying or Very sad (sniff...sniff). But I will be okay. How is azzuri? Any shakeup out there or smooth sailing ready to make a push up the standing?

They did lose some very good players so what will that impact be this season. Basically how does this shake up the top 5. BTW my feeling were a little hurt Crying or Very sad (sniff...sniff). But I will be okay. How is azzuri? Any shakeup out there or smooth sailing ready to make a push up the standing?

Even though I know you really don't care, your feigned concern is appreciated. Azzurri will be fine. We had a little shake up but nothing major. 11 kids back from last year. We lost three players and replaced them with 4, so time will tell. Also have a new coach. I hope we can move up the standings but we'll have to see how the team gels with 4 new faces. Our first test will be the Plano Labor Day tournament. I know one of the kids Solar picked up and I think he's a great player. I don't know how he stacks up to any of those they lost though. Did you go to the tournament in Oklahoma to know that the "drop in talent" really showed or are you going solely on a 1 goal loss to an 00 team? I'm really sorry if I truly hurt your feelings but I don't think I did. I would hope someone that spends so much time bashing others would not be easily offended when he has to suffer a little retribution. I should have been defender of all oppressed but I was too busy defending our own team from your and others' jabs.
