FCD Waters(former SBFC) have lost some strong players, 3 to Andro Red and 1 to Solar red.
so I do not know if they will be in the top 10.

Maybe not, but Jon is a great coach and he should add a few players after joining FCD as well so I give him the benefit of the doubt. Everyone is adding/losing players. We will see soon enough.

Since they've added Pomykal's boys they have beaten Solar and Solar Red. Those two teams both beat Andromeda last weekend. I don't think they are necessarily better than those teams but they have the most recent results. It will be interesting to see how it looks this weekend with FCD Premier, Solar Red and Texans South all in the Primetime tourney. I think FCD could make a jump to the top if they win that tournament.

It is to hard to tell which team is the top team.

Club Classic - don't know much about them. They played in the 9v9 division of the Carey Invitational. Had a chance to play better competition in the 11v11 but chose 9v9 division instead. They placed 2nd losing to United 01. Who elese has Club Classic 01 played or beat? Have they gone to additional tournaments?

Andromeda Red 01 - played in the Texas Summer Classic last weekend. Beat FC Force but lost to Solar (Partain) and Solar Red in a close game decided by penalty kicks. Andromeda Red won the Shawnee Trail Shootout and beat FCD (Figo) and AC Longview 03 in the championship game.

FCD (Figo) - lost to Liverpool 01 (Callaghan) and Solar Red 01 in the Texas Summer Classic. Won the silver division of the Puma Cup by beating FCD South. Did not perform well at the Shawnee Trail Shootout and lost to Andromeda Red 01 and AC Longview 01.

DT South - very good team. Won the gold division of the Puma Cup by beating Ft. Worth White and FCD (Hammers). Did not place at TFC Junior Cup but tied eventusal champion TFC Angell. Played well at the Carey Invitational. Lost to Studio Brasil Corinthians but tied DT (Densk) and beat Solar Red 01.

DT North - no information on this team. Have they played and/or beat anyone?

DT (Densk) - another good team. Beat Studio Brasil Corinthians, tied DT South, and took second in the Carey Invitiation losing to Solar Red twice.

Solar Red 01 - took 2nd place at the Texas Summer Classic last weekend by beating Liverpool (Callaghan), FCD Figo, Andromeda Red but losing in the championship game to Solar (Partain). Won Carey Invitational by beating DT (Densk).

Solar (Partain) - playing well right now. Won the Texas Summer Classic. Beat Andromeda Red and Solar Red in the championship game. took 2nd place at the TFC Junior Blue Cup by beat DT South but losing to TFC (Angell) twice, once in the chamionship game.

Liverpool (Callaghan) - beat FCD (Figo) but lost to Solar Red and Solar (Partain) in the Texas Summer Classic. Lost to TFC (Angell) in PAL a couple times this past spring.

FCD Premier - no information. Who are they? Who have they played and who is the coach?

    Other teams to consider:

TFC (Angell) - new team just formed at U9. Started slow by losing two games in the Texas Winter Classic to Crushers 01 and FCD Gomez. Lost 2 games at the Swords Spring Classic playing in the U10 division to AC Longview Black 00 and Texas Revolution 00. Picked-up some players and played very well in PAL spring. Won TFC Junior Cup by tying DT South and beating Solar Dynamo (Partain) twice.

    Studio Brasil Corinthians

Crushers 01 - haven't seen them around lately.

I can rank them by team but I can group them:

ELITE - Solar Red 01, DT South, DT (Densk), Solar Dynamo (Partain), and TFC (Angell) are my top 5 teams RIGHT NOW.

VERY GOOD - Andromeda Red, Studio Brasil Corinthians.

GOOD - Club Classic 01 and Liverpool 01 (Callghan). Just haven't seen enough from either team to rank them higher.

Unknown to me - FCD Premier and DT North. Who are they?

The important questions right now are:

    1. What leagues are the good teams playing in this fall?

    2. Who is playing in the Plano Labor Day Torunament? We might know a little more after this tournament if the good ones come out to play!

    Wow! good job.

Well Studio Brasil is now FC DALLAS BRASIL ACADEMy or just FC Dallas and Crushers is disbanded, some players are in Solar Red.

FCD premier is a combination of the best players from all the FC Dallas 01 teams so some players will play in their current team and also in the premier team, Coach Mark Snell.

Andromeda Red will be in the labor day tournament, they try to do a better performance, now that the team will be complete and the current coach will be there(J.Bazan).

I hope the competition will be tough.

Good summary. Club Classic is now Liverpool Callaghan, SBFC is now FCD Waters, Crushers disbanded and are dispersed between Solar Dynamo, Solar Red and one or two at Texans and FC Dallas. SDL should have most of the top teams in it's top group:

    Andromeda Red (2 teams)
    Texans Densk
    Texans South
    FCD Premier (2 teams)
    FCD Waters
    FWFC White
    OC Wizards
    Solar Partain
    Solar Red
    TFC Angell

First, it is academy, not select/classic and I am not sure that it really matters with both movement of boys to different teams and the particular approach that some coaches take (which is very different from the parents' wants or desires). ML and JW are both very good skills teachers with very different styles and approaches. Having seen both in action, I would take JW for my son hands down over ML. I don't think ML is good for young boys, but that is simply a matter of personal opinion. I also question his loyalty and motives, which I absolutely do not with Jon. I have also heard that by season's end JW's FCD team will beat Snell's. That too was subjective. There has been a significant amount of movement this summer. Some teams are not even set. Many of the Texans teams will not play in labor day tourneys because of campus friendly's that have been scheduled. Solar partain lost a few players, but seems to have re-stocked. Texans Densk which lost to SR earlier in the summer got over their hump and beat SR at an ASG tournament a month or so later. Again, I think it is difficult to rank teams in academy because of player movement, player's playing on multiple teams, and coaching philosophy. I hope the boys have fun and continue to harbor passion for the sport.

I have to agree with the fella above. Right now with all the movement of players bouncing from one academy team to another with some playing with more than one it's hard. That could explain why there is really not one clear cut team as the best. There are several really good teams out there. If they play each other 10 times each will win 5 a piece. It will be interesting this year as who will end up where and with whom before the teams go select.

All has been said well. Solar has lost a few, Densk has lost a few, FCD has lost a few, Andro lost a complete team to DTN. So all in all it appears more movement is on the way. We will see.

I believe the competition is great this year in this group. looking forward to it.

I found these results corresponding to the Sunday Primetimesportz league in case anyone benefits from it. Some of the teams discussed in this forum play there:
