Not much talk about this tourney in this age group. I am guessing premier league is overshadowing this weekend with the top 4 teams playing out of town. The tourney looks pretty wide open in both silver and gold divisions.

There's too many tournaments out there on Labor Day weekend. Including but not limited to the optional required Texans friendly tournament which removes 25% of the teams from consideration right off the bat. I didn't realize PL was this weekend - that took even more teams out of consideration that otherwise would've come.

So everybody's spread thin - plus I think so many teams have changed so much that it's a bit harder to predict who might come out on top. Lots of teams in either division that I've never heard of could give some upsets.

I'll go out on a limb here and predict Solar Red and Edmond OFC in the Gold final along with Tejanos and Hurst United in the Silver. Good luck to all teams!

I 2nd that. Although, in the Silver bracket there are several teams I think besides Hurst that have a shot but I think picking the Tigres in the final is a pretty certain bet.

It's going to be a good tournament. As far as blackets the Silver Bracklet 1 is the toughest.

RAYADOS DE MONTERREY won the North America Memorial Day Cup challenge cup May.
TFC 97B BLUE (FORMERLY TLSC/AYSES 97B GOLD)won the Beat the Heat 2010 (Boys) Silver Division in August. Went 4-1-0
ECLIPSE 97 BLACK Texas South has lost only 3 games in the past year.
FC DALLAS YOUTH 97B CENTRAL(PREV EAST) is a completely new team, did pick up some D1 players, but it will take time to gel.
Good chance any team from this bracket can go all the way.

Seems Brackets 3 and 4 are the same way as bracket 1. Bracket 5 might let TFC slip in without any loses and seems the weakest on paper.

But again it's anyone tournament to win. Good luck to all.

That's the Bracket of Death. Whichever team emerges will be battle-tested. You might also see one of the wildcards come from this bracket.

The Edmond team is remarkable -- hard to predict against. RytMid may have it right with SR joining OFC in the finals. Wouldn't be surprised to see FCDB there, either.

The Silver division, in my mind, is harder to predict. Lots of CL talent and several unknowns that could upset the apple cart.

It'll be a fun weekend with great weather. Good luck to all of the teams!
