no worries but I concur with your last post! What? wrote:Sorry Omega.... I failed to read the last part of your post. My apologies.
What? wrote:What? What do you mean no suprises? Andromeda Red (DI) and FC Dallas Figo (DII) tied today? The score was an even 2 to 2. No disrespect to Figo and his boys. Good team and coach.
Let's talk about this "great one" label. He's got some of the best kids in NTX! I know... I know... At times, top teams don't show and play at their level, but with all of the extra private training and the "great one" abilities, I would think he would have this team ready to bounce on teams in this tournament. The harsh talk to the Andromeda U 12's and the money flow has got to have some parents questioning themselves internally about their decision. Only a guess? Again, this is not to bash Andromeda Red. Great team and great players. They will either win the 99 division and/or finish top 3. This response leads back to a previous post regarding the adoption of great teams, in that, some of these coaches are regarded as "great?" Parents sacrafice their kids self-esteem because he can teach them to move the ball? Gall, Craft, Figo, Pino, Passos, Hernandez, Cates are some coaches that come to mind that do a pretty good job at teaching the skill. No wether their soccer athletes apply the skill is another story. If any coach called my kid an Fing idiot, Oh Boy..... Well..... I will leave it at that.
I'll agree with that!Axxman wrote:What? wrote:What? What do you mean no suprises? Andromeda Red (DI) and FC Dallas Figo (DII) tied today? The score was an even 2 to 2. No disrespect to Figo and his boys. Good team and coach.

Hey teletubby, relax a little would ya. New coach is teaching a new and complex system with kids playing new or different positions. It will take months for them to get it and gel as a team. These were the first "real" games this team has played in a long time and with a new head coach. Sure some parents may not like his ways, but lets give it a little time before anyone jumps to conclusions.
thats true congrats!Seinfeld4 wrote:Semifinals:

My son was not in the championship game but we did go and watch it. 3 yellow cards, 1 red card, 1 andro. player dislocated knee cap after a dirty tackle and 1 andro. player carried off field after a dirty tackle (that should have been a 2nd red card). My son's teams have played against barcelona since academy, and even back then they were so dirty that they were kicked out the PAL league. I can appreciate some good "hard-nosed" soccer but the fouls that Barca commits are dangerous. Anyone in D1 be ready for anything this season. Good luck to all.
Axxman wrote:If you were at that game and didn't see it like "let's play", you obviously aren't paying attention. No doubt both teams are aggressive but it's the Barcelona way that is frustrating. And as mentioned, it's not one or two games, they have a history. No need to go into details, they are flat out dirty. I wish I would have filmed it so you could see a few examples. Big difference between aggresive hard play and dirty tactics. And if you happen to get up on them by 2 or 3 goals, hope your kids brace themselves. And yes, one of our players (not the one that was carried out) is likely out for a good while thanks to a nice cleat to the knee.

Waaaaaa Waaaaaaa. Andromeda's two big boys stomp and cleat eveybody on the field. One of them, the one with the attitude, smack talks refs is dirty. He's a red/yellow magnet. Saw him front thrust kick a defender and hold his arms in the air in disgust when whistled. My kids team has played Barcelona several times and nothing unusual as you describe in your post? I'm sorry to hear about the injury of any kid, but in my opinion, Barcelona plays hard.

1st Post for "Lets Play" = WIN for stirring up drama. But = lose for not posting under normal avatar and making a new one up just to stir up stuff.
Some kids have been carded for fouls, but from what I remember, some parents have been kicked out for a week or two - or put on double secret probation as well - not all from Barca.

LMAO I thought he was reffering to that and to the fact that Andro is always involved some how?crazyET wrote:omega striker wrote:can you refresh my memory to which team you are talking about or specific incident?R1 wrote:let's play wrote:Is anyone out there as fed up with barcelona soccer as I am??? I think he might be referring to the unfortunate incident between Axxman and yours truly last year the first game of the Spring when we were both placed on so-called double secret probation. Water under the bridge. Good fri. . .acquaintances now. Our bbs even got along at Tatu camp this summer. Go Brazil.

I saw the final game on Monday and I am not sure what was worse, the Barca play or the actions/reactions of the Barca parents. I would be embarrassed. No wonder the kids play that way, the parents act as bad on the sidelines. Seems to be a club-wide condition. Find some composure, act like an adult and be a better example. Don't make the ref come up in the bleachers to scold you. I would have sent the whole bunch of them to the house if I would have been calling the game.
