this must be your first "friendlies"... here's what they do...

match everyone up against each other like it almost matters...

then, they a U17 player to be a ref that just walks around...

then, they will get parents to keep the flags on the side...

but, they still charged $550 or so per team, yet have zero expense for officiating...

    don't keep score...

and then say thanks for the incestuous tournament that we already charged you $2500 a year for (though this isn't part of those fees)...but since you were required to do it we hope you enjoyed the crap we handed you.

    that's a Dallas Texan Friendly...

Well thanks for the breakdown. It appears you're not a DT fan and that's cool but you didn't answer my question.

played for them last year, a lot of more things I didn't like vs the things that I liked... friendlies being top of that dislike list... I guess the answer to your question is this: what's it matter? how does that help the club? internal bragging rights? really? it's a competitive team that lives for accolades, and then uses the one of the biggest tourney weekends out there and keeps all Texans teams out of it...hmmmmm...its almost as if they won't support another club's tourney... conspiracy? no? maybe?

My gosh what anger nuchode has towards the Texans. So glad someone asked a how the tourney works cause if he hadnt informed us all of this we would have never known. Now what?
Cause that is what you asked isnt it? Or was it who has the top team? Please nuchode tell us something more because we all waiting.

Actually, if he's right about them not keeping score, then I think he did answer your question: You won't know.

Well, nuchad may not have said it in the kindest way, but essentially everything is true. It is overall a rather unnecessary tournament, put on a weekend when there are no shortage of other more meaningful tournaments that i suspect most Texans teams would rather play in. The club requiring its teams to be in this "friendly", and charging them a very high fee when the tourney has nil expenses (volunteer refs and played at Ross Stewart) .... it all seems very wrong to me. But that's just my opinion.

As for the OP's question - these are friendlies. There is no winner by definition.

nah, I'll let you make your own judgment. If you are there, and you've never been through it, you'll see soon enough. But, trblmkr, I also don't remember addressing you directly, so there must be some Texan love out there you have (since you're anxiously awaiting further detail.) All I can say from there is good luck (no wait, there won't be any points posted, no playoffs or championship)... I meant, happy watching!

Wow Nuchad, why so much anger against your former Texans? I agree with your assessment of the "Dallas Texans Friendly" but your expression shows so much "love" . Evil or Very Mad I wonder did Hassan or anyone of the Texans coach hurt your "feeling" while you were there Question

    okay okay...in all seriousness...

the reason I'm so bitter is because my wife was promised back sunscreen, and I was promised back shaving cream...both were very much needed at the time. So disappointing.

A little off topic, but I remember hearing from a while back that DT prohibits anyone affilliated with them from posting on here and the old forum.

    Is this accurate information?

wow, a lot of hostility built up toward the texans. i suspect that no single club is ideal and that there are ill feelings for all clubs.

to get to the original poster's question, the game that will be between the top two U10 teams is currently scheduled for 8 am on sunday. trblmkr knows the answer...

Where is trblmkr? I would like to hear the answer. Both teams in my opinion are in the top 5 in all of U10 in NTX. It will be a good game.
