I was not aware that the Texans had a club in Oklahoma. Are they in any other states.

You think those Okies cringe when they see the Texans on their kids kits? Much like some parents (Aggies) would refuse to allow their kids to play for the Longhorns!

They probably cringe like Texans who send their kids to OU.

I imagine it won't be long until the Hassan empire is expanded south of the border. They could just call that the "Texicans"..

Could explain why everything is behind closed doors, these days. Parents are no longer allowed to stay on premises to watch their children practice. Not that I ever get the urge to watch, but if I wanted to, I'd like to be able to do it. Shocked

    Bystander,

Did they give the parents a "reason" for not being there? I'm not saying that anyone on the Texans would do it, but there was a coach from an indie team arrested for pedophilia....Why would teams not want to be "open" to their own parents?

So that HN can do whatever he wants to your kid. THey don't call him the darklord for nothing. That is outrageous! I bet he didn't tell everyone that before signing. HN has the best interest of HIS club and HIS team in mind. The parent needs to be there to look out for the best interest of their kid. WOW!! I was so close to making that mistake this year. Is it all Texan teams of just his?

I do not have a kid with Texans anymore, but I find it hard to believe you cannot even watch your kid just to make sure he is OK if you want to.

Is this true for the Academy level kids ages 9 and younger?

I would think if you really wanted to be there to just watch there would be some loophole. But again, I have no idea as my kid does not play there.

It's for Ross Stewart in general. I heard it is for safety and liability reasons. A young kid just running on the side walk got hit by a ball coming from one of the older age groups a few months back.
I just came back from Germany and my boys practiced with a local team and no parents were present during practice..

The rules say no parents on the fields but not no one but players in practice facility. They seriously tell you to leave? I have been to most of mine's practices for the last 5 years. Why? Because by the time I go home I would have 10 minutes then would just have to drive the 25 miles back. What about those cases?

This isn't germany and I don't think those parents pay close to 3 grand. I am calling BS on that excuse, they could easily limit them to the patio area. We need to get speedy on this one but I don't believe getting hit by a soccer ball at a soccer field is a liability issue.

Until HN can find a buyer that's not only interested in the club, but also the Ross Stewart facility, he has to continuously increase cash flow to support his model. Every year, things get more and more expensive. All good stuff as long as growth is positive.

How much longer until the Ross Stewart lease is up? That's when the only buyer in the market will make the move. By then, tho, FCD may not need to make that move. They've become the 800 pound gorilla in the area.

If it's a money issue, does that mean HN will charge the parents extra to watch practices???

I don't know FB4. I still believe there will be room for independent clubs in the market, when the time comes. US soccer has economies of scale and not every player will survive the franchise cut.

That day is still a long way off, though. Unless, of course the club extends its reach into the local associations...
