So it looks like FCD Prermier and Solar Red were underestimated by all of us as they are playing in the final in the gold div, Im gonna say Solar 2 FCD 1. In the silver its what seemed to be the majority of everyones prediction with Odyssey vs. Longview, Im gonna go with Odyssey 3-1

Solar Red wins 3-1 over FCD in the Gold Final. Solar Red looked strong throughout and their 2nd goal that was the game winner belongs on a highlight reel.

Solar Red seems to be the real deal, little up and down with a few ties, but they keep getting the job done.
Great Games this weekend!
TFC v Premier in CL
Solar Red gets DT Gall as well

So Solar Red wins the PLD. Didn't see that coming. Congrats to Ruben and his boys. And after all the discussion about the "group of death" and what a terrible travesty it was, 3 out of the 4 teams in Group A make up 3 out of 4 of the semi-finalist teams, and also the eventual champion! Wow. That was one hell of a group, and some of the most entertaining soccer I've watched in a while. Pool games between TFC, Bandits, and Solar, were far more exciting than any of the 1/4's or semis, and we played in both of those rounds, too. Always disappointing to lose, as competitive players AND parents, but there should be a ton of proud folks out there.
Playing against the best will serve all these boys well in the future. I see many dogfights coming down the pipe in Classic. And I think the eventual winner will surprise everyone. Even me. The gap has narrowed between the top 5 to a point where there is no gap. That was a great weekend. Many more to come!

Solar Red gets DT Gall as well, would love to see Red whip them.
1. DT Gall

3. Premier
4. Bandits
5 TFC Wells
6 Solar 00
7 Wizards
8. FC East
9. Andro Red
10 Tigres

I saw the last half of the match and Solar looked good. This said I am not sure about pushing them up to number 2 yet. I definitely think they are top 5 though.
Congrats to all the teams that participated! Great set of teams that competed!

That was a great tournament. All semi-final teams were very strong. The big advantage of playing this tournament (or disadvantage) is that teams are getting to know each other and learning their strengths and weaknesses. Games became more strategic.
All games were very physical, however they were mostly clean except for little incidents here and there, but not big deal.
Congrats to Solar Red!!!

Classic League D2 starts this weekend. Taking into consideration the QT and PLD, I see it as follows:
1. Longview (proved this weekend they belong in CL-Silver Division runner-up)
2. Chivas (a very close call, could be 1. Two tough losses to D1 Odyssey)
3. Hurst (very solid, strong and aggressive team)
4. FCD (will improve as season progresses)
5. DT White (not sure how they fared in their friendlies this weekend)
6. Mitlan (small but speedy)
7. Comets (still somewhat of an unknown, could be the dark horse)
8/9/10. Kernow/TFC Blue/Andromeda (in no particular order)
Congrats to all the D2 teams that played in the PLD.
Good luck to everyone on Saturday as the season begins!
