Titans vs. Solar Red - Solar Red, always strong.
Barcelona vs. FCD - Tie, they have mastered tying. What are they missing that will send them to the next level? They might have an influx of players to choose fom come June.
Solar Blue vs. DTS - DTS, I believe this will be their weekend to bounce back. Dirt off your shoulders boys. The only thing those parents are teaching their kid, is when the going gets toug...quit! You made your bed, atleast lay in it for a year. Axx, did they ever come try out the package deal @ ATF? Beer, tan, and teeeth? Catchy.
Gunners vs. Comets - Comets, they wil be confident after tying DT last weekend.
Andro vs. DT - Andro all the way. DT will still be doing the same crap they've been producing, or not producing. They would be lucky to come out with a tie. I think they should start chanting, a tie is better than a loss. Instead of their old chant: a tie is as bad as a loss. Maybe?

We had one bb from their team come out yesterday, but due to the rain, they have yet to get a taste of the BTT experience. I suppose that will happen soon enough.

Stop. Go. Fall. Get hurt. Go. Stop. Get hurt. Foul. Kick away. Stop. Get hurt. Foul. Kick away. Stop.
In the end both teams lost but the Texans scored a goal and Andro did not.
At least nobody got really hurt...

I heard Gunners beat Comets 2-1 and Texans South won against solar blue.

are you serious? Comets let the gunners finally get a win in? so i guess they didn't run their usual 8-1-1 formation? affraid

Surprised that no one is discussing this game today. It was a nasty game but I was not impressed by the ML team. I expected a display of coaching and improvement from Andromeda instead of a big team just trying to push around another team. Texans showed discipline, patience and the ability to win a physical game.

If anything it was a game of kickball by both parties. Heard gall tried his infamous formation. Which he should use more often perhaps. Obviously it works. Tried it against dts and andro. Both times successful. You'd think he's a smart enough man to do the math. Perhaps not. You didn't like ml. So you kept walking. I don't think anyone has been impressed by gall either. Not even his own parents. Give andro some credit, they have improved. These boys are dedicated and puts in the extra hours for skills. Dt parents can't gloat, they have fallen from grace faster than dt98's rankings. (Sorry extra cheesy.) Gall's two man show will be gone next july and half of his masseuse crew will be scattered amongst a few teams. Spread the wealth. Dt98 or solar98. Maybe. Gall's group has so many egomaniacs, it's sickening!

I am going to disagree with you on this. I don't think either team played well, and if anything, Andro made a defensive mistake to lose that game, wasn't anything from the Texan side that scored that goal, but they did come out on top and that's the way it goes. But the way both teams played, should have been a tie. To me it seemed both coaches would have been satisfied with a tie, at least thats the way it looked like they played. We for one played a formation both on offense and defense that I personally had not seen all year which made for some confused kids. I think we go with what we played against DTS the previous week and it would have given us a much better chance. But I'm not the one making the big bucks. Both of these coaches have asked for some time to make their systems work, so we'll give them that. Early second half of the season should be telling and I'm sure by then the verdicts may be out.

I think the coaches really battled each other on that game. By the way, don't you think ML asked some of his boys to shadow some of the DT players ? With the somewhat decline of DTsouth, each game between the 2 teams should be more and more interesting (from that perspective).

But anyway, I am with you Axx; if I arrived at the game very happy, hoping to see a great soccer, I ended up being extremely disappointed with the end result. I know my boy did more headers in that game than during his entire life...practices included.
We are back to that discussion of competition over development; both teams, both coaches want/need to win sooo bad that it basically kills the game...

I don't have a dog in this fight but I will comment. The game was a game of kickball on both sides. If you saw discipline, patience and the ability to win a physical game out of DTX you have overdosed on the club coolaid. I watched the game anticipating a great match between the top two teams. Instead I watched a match of two teams doing there best to clear the a ball and not lose. DTX did not win the game... Andro lost it on a defensive mental mistake.

To get on here an beat your chest that you had disipline, patience, yada yada yada... shows lack of objectivity and pure ignorance.

Walking away from the game all I could think about how messed up our system is... I know these two teams and the majority of the teams out there practice real soccer all week long. The weekend rolls around and the win at all costs kicks in and we are off to another kick ball game. Don't get me wrong I have seen some very pretty games this season but in each case one team was easily dominating the other.

I dont know the answer of how to fix this broken system, but it looks like to me that our system of "win at all costs" is costing us more than we realize...

Thanks. It seems that we are several to come up to that conclusion. The answer ? Pull out of Classic league and play friendlies every week-end and tournaments once in a while.

Marcio did not ask any of the boys to shadow anyone in particular. He likes to play 1 on 1 defense with a roaming sweeper. We did the same thing against DTS and others and that wasn't a big deal. But on defense, he moved our kids around which I guess he thought would give us a better chance defensively, but it messed up our offensive game and potential to move the ball around given kids were out of typical positions.

I see thanks. We, the parents, and them the kids, should get a better soccer: both teams are good, prepared, the kids are all super motivated, dedicated to getting better and the coaches are great there is no doubt about that. It is the structure that is wrong or maybe doesn't fit those kids/team. If this was a glimpse to our future in classic league I dread seeing that every week-end as the kids grow up and all the teams get better...We will have to do with it if we have to but I am not really looking forward to it.
Also when you think about it, in this 99 age group these are the 2 best teams/clubs trying to prepare individual players to be the future of Us soccer. Well, after looking at that game we know that Us soccer is going to be more of the same (which I think we all agree is not what we want). So what are we ready to do to change that ?

Gababa...think maybe these kids burn out, and the d2, d3, gasp! even PPL may have the kids learning how to play and develop without all the d1 pressure on them?

While these kids certainly are fantastic players, and I understand why people expect them to be the future of USSoccer...these 32 kids are too small of a pool to be it by themselves.

Those kids in the other divisions and other leagues are growing mentally and physically....quietly working on their skills. It's probably an advantage to them that they aren't expected to win every game, or perform every skill perfectly yet. Who's having more fun and learning?

We can play oopsies all day but the fact of the matter is, neither team played well. Resorted to kickball due to the 'win at all cost' mentality. The goal was not a great goal, it actually was a result of an andro oopsie, and it happens. Every kid should be allowed to make mistakes. But a goal is a goal. And you're right in north texas, everyone is losing. Don't think it will change anytime soon though, but the idea you mentioned is the right direction. Although, it will turn into the old sdl days where 'we don't keep scores or rankings' but its posted by parents themselves! Keep us in the loop on that new system you're referring to. I'm curious to see if bigclubs will consider it.

That's exactly my point and I completely agree with you.
Now it is going to hard to argue that as of the beginning of our 2010/2011 season the kids playing in D1 are better soccer players than the kids playing in PPL. So, everybody (parents coaches and kids) should hope that they also develop the best they can through the year. Now, aside from great practices, the question is : are the saturday games in D1 classic league helping them to develop their game at all ? What good is it for them (and don't get me wrong me, as a dad I love to go to those games)?

Dr.Evil,Gabba- North Texas is losing...So they don't keep score in California, New York, Florida. THEY DON'T PLAY TO WIN??...Those teams from overseas that play in the Dallas Cup must be very confused that we over here in North Texas keep score and play to win when they come play in the Dallas Cup. OH wait, they play to win and keep score too! GET REAL FOR THE 100TH TIME!

You guys must have been very disappointed Nov 2nd
