I think some of these are a little off - fc force not 14 - I think CCorange took 14 and Figo I think took 19 (FC gold) as well as Barcelona I think they were 10 - could be wrong though.

Re: QT Groups/Schedule is up
This list is correct. You can figure the seeding out based on the Flight Results Grid and the schedule. Each group schedule follows a templated pattern.middlewing256 wrote:

No problem. I do think FC Force is seeded a bit high (though they will challenge ASG) -- CC Orange and Barcelona a bit low. Group J looks to be the Group of Death....middlewing256 wrote:you are correct - sorry.

In general, how does the QT seeding match your ranking methodology that you have shared previously?

You mean to tell me that the Texas Titans are #28? They beat the #23 team last week and did pretty well as FC Dallas East.

Bracket J and H are the toughest for good teams the first weekend and bracket I is a very weak bracket.

Re: QT Groups/Schedule is up
Here is a comparison of the QT seeding vs the "raw" PWR ranking. I don't believe there should necessarily be a significant correlation between the two numbers, but it is interesting as a comparison.Eight-Ball wrote:In general, how does the QT seeding match your ranking methodology that you have shared previously?
Remember that the PWR ranking is based solely on Summer tourney results (i.e teams that didn't play in any of the tourneys considered did not get a ranking.), while the QT seeding is based on what teams the committee would like to see in Classic League in the fall. Also, the PWR is still a work in progress. It has a very limited data set and given the lack of uniformity in the tourney fields, nothing to hold it up to. I expect over the season to make adjustments to try and get a more "realistic" result.
| QT | PWR | DIFF | |
| 1 | 2 | (1.0) | DALLAS TEXANS CRAFT |
| 2 | 3 | (1.0) | SOLAR RED PASSOS |

Re: QT Groups/Schedule is up
I would have thought comets blue would have ranked higher then Gunners? based purely on their consistency and competiton played this whole year, and not just this summer? regardless bracket H will be a knock down drag out with comets blue, gunners and texas titans(formerly FCD velez) all potentially beating each other!
and i would like to see how the league seeded them and not just any of us guessing! some of these are just way the hell off! and for sure not deserved or earned!

ASG North #7? They would have been #7 with the german kid, without him they are nowhere near that good. Tyler #9 is too high. Dallas Texan Red (Connell) has done zip to be # 12. Comets Blue # 13?

Add FC Dallas Suarez at No. 6 to any list of "too high" and chock it up to big club favortism because there is no way that team that finished with 13 points and didn't advance with an overall dismal performance at the Puma Cup deserves to be anywhere near the top 10.

You are so frickin hard-headed! It is an elementary exercise to reverse-engineer the overall seeding from the Flight Results Grid. Start at Group A with the first team listed (Dallas Texans) and work your way down to Group J listing all the first-teams. Then at Group J, list the second team (CD Chivas Dallas) and move back up to Group A listing all the second-teams. Then at Group A, repeat with the third teams going down to J, then back up to A with the fourth-teams. Then it gets a little tricky since there are 48 teams. Skip A & B and start with C on the fifth-teams. The 48 seed is TLSC White.
I have confirmed that this is how the seedings were bracketed. Like I said, the committee doesn't really care what you and I think. Their sole purpose is to build the field they want for Classic League in the Fall. I agree with you that several of the placements don't make sense, but this is what they came up with and its their game.

I think some of the seeding is way off and partcuarly FCD gold was hosed. Looks like an attempt to spread the large number of FCD teams around. The seeding is really just someones guess at teams. Everyone still has to go into this weekend and play. Then return for the season and get it done. Being seeded top five is the easy part. Playing and staying there is the hard part. Good luck to everyone

Completely agree. These seedings do not mean a whole lot when it comes down to it. If you made top 10 and lose, what's the difference. And even if you win and qualify in D1, you will have to prove yourself during the season. So for now, as 99 points out, let them play. And to quote Mr. Holmes, "It's Elementary my Dear Watson".
And one other comment, if anyone tells AND1 about this site they are toast !!!!!!!!

so if you are in bracket a or b - and come in 2,3,or 4 - no matter what you continue on until the next weekend - is that right?
