I THINK THAT IS A POSSIBILITY. IT APPEARS THEY HAVE A SCORING PROBLEM MUCH LIKE SOLAR RED. SOLID DEFENSIVE PLAYERS ON BOTH TEAMS, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THEY CAN'T FINISH. FROM WHAT I SAW THIS WEEKEND, BOTH STRIKERS FROM EACH TEAM RESPECTIVLEY ARE TALENTED PLAYERS, BUT BOTH PLAYERS DESPERATELY NEED A COMPLIMENTARY STRIKER TO RELIEVE PRESSURE FROM BEING MARKED. BOTH PLAYERS CAN PENETRATE. FCD PLAYER IS FAST AND SOLAR RED PLAYER IS STRONG. WHEN BOTH COACHES FIND THAT EXTRA ATTACKER TO COMPLIMENT THEIR EXISTING STRIKER AND ADD A HOLDING/ATTACKING MID HERE AND THERE, IMO THEY WILL BE PRETTY SOLID TEAMS IN THIS LEAGUE BECAUSE BOTH TEAMS HAVE RELATIVELY STRONG DEFENSES. BOTH TEAMS ARE A COMPLIMENTARY STRIKER/ATTACKING MID AWAY FROM MOVING TOWARD THE TOP. SURVIVE D1 AND MAKE END OF SEASON ACQUISITIONS.
so according to others on this site DTX is also in the hunt for scorer's? confused

No, not yet. Coach Gall is working on a new tactic. He's going to put all the slow, fat kids in the back and ask them to boot it to the front.

LMAO. Had a coach tell me that video was funny but a little sad because it was true to life and he has actually had situations like that

Club, I don't believe FCD is in danger of relegation, but I do agree a couple of key players would make a big difference. A similar case can be made for many other teams in NTX.

The Sophomore Shuffle spread the talent pool around and there is parity at the top of D1. No team stands out as the hands-down favorite to win U12 Classic. Every team in D1 has tasted defeat and/or walked away with a tie. Spring 2011 promises to be lots of fun for everyone.

FCD lost 2 impact players and it shows!!! the others that left weren't scorers or play makers.

I agree. I think they got a little lucky in the fall and based on how they are playing now I don't see a big turnaround. Their changes to "premier" and losing some of their better players from the old team could land them without a d1 team at u13. The only hope is the other bottom three teams don't improve. If that happens maybe they can regroup and reach down in their pool and add a player or two for next year.

You don't think FCD will move players around at mid-season like they did last year? They struggled a bit in the Fall of U11 and shuffled kids around at mid term. They were an improved team by Spring with better results.

I don't think there will be any movement. Last year they added players and I think they have a full roster this time so any addition would require someone being sent down. They had a nice turnout at the tryouts so sure they got the squad they wanted now just have to make it work. They will stay in D1 but lower than last season. This is supposed to be an improved squad from last season so you might ask "what's the problem?" If it's not an improved squad then you might ask "why not?" Either way Suarez is looking pretty good right now. So, somebody let us know "does the emperor have on clothes or not?"

Calm down, guys. FCD is learning how to play another style, and that takes time. They have a tough defense, even with one out, due to injuries. They'll remain in D1, regroup for U13, then bounce back and kick a$$ for all the bashing.
