    I never thought I would say this....here goes....I agree with Flatback4.

    Post Edit:
With the exception of the 'waste' statement. There are reasons for people to join any team other than wins (coaches/location/friends).

Well, I'm not sure why Solar and Andromeda are a waste. Solar U16s lead their divisiion. Andromeda U18s went 3-0 at the DA national showcase in Phoenix last month (and got a special call-out from the USSF for doing so). Andromeda U16s are struggling in league play but went 2-1 in the showcase. Moreover, each of the boys on all of the DA teams are getting seen by lots of coaches. Why are these teams/clubs a waste?

At Disney, Andro U16 academy went 0-1-2 in the lower academy (Black) division.

Belies the true parity of the competition. Andro could have/should have won all of these games. And why no love for Solar:

Funny how club bias rules the "debate". Then again at least Flat is open about his bias.

I like the look of the U11s every year. Such an optimistic view of smaller clubs making a good run at it. As Aswan says, the natural draw is to the big clubs that have Academy. There is an expectation for getting something out of the investment and the chances for achieving this are with a club that provides the best opportunity to showcase your child.

As cynical as this may sound, DA is about recruiting. Sure it present a great venue for the top talent to play each other, but more than anything it cuts through the crap of ODP and the other nonsense and puts the best talent together at key venues. Easy for US Soccer to track talent, and the college coaches are right there as well.

As for Andro's Academy, until they come out with a no-pay policy for their DA teams they will always loose out on the top talent pool. Just as Oscar...

Your statement is incorrect. There are no "lower" Academy Divisions at Disney. The divisions are set by a blind draw. There is no seeding in the Academy divisions and brackets. The one exception was the host/sponsor teams. Chelsea brought their team over and set up a "Chelsea" Division for the U16's that only had them and the other US Chelsea teams. The same was going to happen for the U18's as well but Chelsea ended up not bring their U18 team over. So much for Solar being a waste of time.

Yak, I take issue with your statement regarding bias. I'm pretty sure Flat hates everybody.
