It was a good game. Coppell was up 2-1 at half and then FM shut them out in the second half with 2 scores to make for a 3-2 win.
We will know a lot more after this weekends tournaments.

I would not put too much stock in it. 4A Aledo (#5) graduated 9 starters last year and was down 3-0 to Weatherford at the half Friday. Did not hear the final. I know this is another part of the world for most on this post but anyone hear the final on that?

Jesuit isn't in District 10-5A. Still think the favorites in that district are North Garland, Naaman, McKinney Boyd and Rowlett.

You are correct, Curtaldo. I said district instead of region. Restated: The problem for Sachse is Jesuit since they are in the same region. I agree with Yak, it's a coaches poll starting point. Anything can happen. My top picks for NTX are Jesuit, Southlake, Marcus, Plano and Coppell.

Yes he is playing this year plus got another "transfer" from California that plays on the DTX academy.

Tale of two halves. Marcus dominated the first half. Jesuit dominated the second half. Typical preseason tournament. Both teams with players missing. #1 forward for Marcus was a no show. Jesuit had 5 starters, 3 of them Academy players, out for various reasons. Warm up tournaments are not a real good indicator. Lake Highlands had 3 of their 5 Academy players out for the Ice Bowl tournamnet. So I'm skeptical to rate them down even though they didn't win the Ice Bowl. Probably the best team I saw at the Meister tournament was Nolan. Marcus sqeaked by them on a questionable handball in the box. Nolan looked very strong. Jesuit is not the powerhouse from last year. But then, Marcus looks much weeker than last year too. It's a long season.

Last second call up. He was practicing at SLC and was on the roster.
