    Texans Madness Tournament

Post  Ibra on Sun Jan 23, 2011 9:53 pm

Was told by a Houston Texans parent that this year/U13 is their first year of 11-v-11...could that be true? Might explain the poor showing against North Texas Teams.

That verywell could be true. There are many places around the country that follow the suggested small sided age groups.

Not just around the country, but around the world small sided fields/courts are utilized until older ages to get players used to working in small spaces. The kick or dump and chase to the goal is not very pretty, and that is what the large fields are doing to our players. imho, which ain't worth much...

The truth was that the Texans teams from Houston were attempting to feed the long ball and the NTX teams played a much shorter game....saw it at U11 and U13 games all weekend....
