Curious to see what is going on in the Gold division given the quality of teams entered, but it seems to be the only division in the whole tournament with no results posted so far. What gives? Anyone out there have any results?

Agree. The victory over Andromeda does not shock me as I believe it's Andromeda's first tournament of the year and was a low scoring game. But the score against DT Densk is surprising. I bet it probably wasn't Densk's top team out there. Just speculating.

No Texans does not have their top team in the tournament. Watched the FCDallas - Andromeda Game and Andromeda clearly was a better team in the field. I overheard Andro is not in full streght?

Densk's first team played in Houston last weekend. Second group has nice players, just have not played together long enough.

Does anyone know the result between Solar 98 and Sporting KC Juniors? I heard both teams were playing hard, but only zeros prior to half-time...

Heard it ended Solar 1 SKC 0. Was it just me or were those boys from KC the biggest 13 year olds ever seen. That defender in the back had to be 6'2". It reminded me of watching LAFC in the Dcup last year.

TFC Royal beat them as well 1-0 in the same tornament mates.

Unlike the LAFC team now aka Cosmos Academy West - that 98 KC team has absolutely no finisher on the pitch, hence they lost both close games.

Overall, decent 4 game friendly weekend for all.

Andro fielded two mixed team - part top, part second. Even so, the one playing in the gold division looked pretty strong. They also played the other half and half in the Silver division and romped through everyone. They'll be right their with the top teams come SDL and qualifying.

The Densk team was their D2 team, not their top team, but still performed fairly well (3-1 only losing to Premier). I'd say a they are a strong D2 team, but certainly not ready to play against the top teams.

All in all, the other FC Dallas teams in Gold (Figo and Gomez) looked well coached but just don't have the talent to compete at the top level. Gomez probably middle of D2 and Figo bottom half of D2.

With all that said, it was great getting back out there and watching all the boys play. Bring on the Spring!!!

And to be fair in the bracket evaluation, the AC Longview team had requested a spot in the Silver division and, while having played valiantly, shouldn't have been in the gold group.

chad85 - I agree with you, it wasn't FCD best game (10 year boys tend to be inconsistent sometimes). Andromeda and FCD always play good games against each other. Last 4 games FCD played Andromeda two ended 1-0 with FCD winning and a tie 0-0 and 1-1. Very close games could of gone either way. Andromeda seemed to be missing some players but the team was very competitive regardless, it’s great to watch them play.

slampg – I agree DT Densk (B team) has some nice players and they played really well. I can see them being a top D2 team. FCD Gomez has a great goalie and the boys never give up, it was great to see both these teams play.

Both Andro teams and Premier played solid over the weekend. Saw the Andro "Silver division" team play last night and was really impressed with the passing and ball movement. They were clearly the class of that group.

The Densk/FCD Gomez game was fun to watch and highly competitive as well. Saw a really unfortunate call by the ref in this one...final probably should have been 1-1 rather than 2-0.

Hats off to the Longview team, they had a tough draw having to face Premier, Andro and Densk this weekend.
