    2011 Signing Day

According to ESPN there are 17 Boys who will continue their soccer trade to D-1 schools. There are 2 going to D-2 schools but that has to be an incomplete list.

It's this stupid economy. Not enough parents able to pay for the more expensive clubs.

Saw that 5 players from Wakeland signed letters. Also a player from McKinney, Keller Central, Episcopal Dallas, and RL Turner.

17 out of how many kids that play soccer their senior year in HS? What is the percentage? I am sure it is pretty low.

A bigger question is how many kids that start at the U7 level play continually and then go on to D1? I would bet it is less than 1%.

    Anyone ever done the numbers?

I would think many more kids take the club route than the high school route to get to D1 schools. There were 2 FC Dallas kids that TopDrawer ranked pretty high, one of them is heading to Indiana and if I'm not mistaking the other is trying to get a pro contract with FC Dallas.
