I'm sure the tornados are as their coach is the one putting on the tournament. I couldn't find who participated last year in this age group last year. I would be curious as it conflicts with the High School season.

The Tornados White team is in in. There were no U15 teams in this last year from boys and I don't think any girls either. Otherwise clubs represented included CDI, Solar, Ody, Rapids, Tornados, Tx Lightning to name a few. Not all clubs sent boys, some girls, some both, all kinds of ages.

I would think the u15-u19 brackets would be very thin for both age groups. Is there a link for last years results?

Have not been able to find any past results. The attending coaches list is pretty small, about ten coaches representing 9 mostly small schools.

I don't believe there is a U15 bracket at all. There was not last year anyways. The last years schedules and teams was removed just last week as the new one is prepared. Remeber this is a showcase so there isn't brackets or posted scores or such, just some games to garner some attention:)

I know I have had a couple hectic weeks but....when I looked at last years team list and saw the youngest was 95's I decided there were no U15's since they are U16's.....duh. I need a vacation. Who's up for a trip to Cabo?!?

Well I see that they posted their schedule of events (not to be confused with the actual game schedule) The Q&A with college coaches is 7-8 AM Saturday. Lets see, over one hour drive means getting up at 5 AM after a Friday night HS game. Thats definitely not happening.

Actually it shows in the evening where it was always planned. Maybe there was a typo earlier... and soccerdad, your right.

Anyone know who the other FC Dallas is. There is White (Plano D1) and a FCD Youth 96. Which one?

3 divisions-21 teams of which the tornados have 10 teams entered-what kind of showcase tournament is this? Looks like a tornados fundraiser.

That's exactly what it is. What do you expect.......it's a Schindler tournament. Be glad he didn't ask us all to fly to Europe or something. I can't imagine how many college coaches he must have turned down:) It's laughable.

Really? In a College showcase you want to know the scores? Are you a college coach? Even the college coaches said they didn't care what the scores were. We had a pretty good Q and A session with them and they couldn't of cared less about any scores. Scores mean very little when there is no advancing. The tourney is a Showcase, not a Trophy Case. Oh and soccerdad, we know your affiliated with Ody 96 boys and last I heard they were asked to fill a bracket and unless they made a donation they paid nothing to play.

Wow-I just love pushing your buttons Smile. No longer affiliated with Ody-sons not playing this year. I definitely would not call this a " showcase" tournament- more like a tornado fundraiser. If no one cared about the scores, then why post a result section on the website-why not just post schedules?

Your son's not even playing? Yet you still troll this site, care about the scores, and criticize clubs/tournaments/ Dude, get a life. It's 15 year old soccer.

Because its a one size fits all schedule site. And yes your still affiliated with Ody whether your bb plays there or not. Otherwise you wouldn't know every detail that goes on over there. Just the mere fact you answered this post so quickly provides the answer to that! Gotta go, dishes stacked, hungry kids, laundry to do. Been too busy "fundraising" all weekend....Have a good one dad1 and tell the little forwards dad we wish him a speedy recovery.

The forward has a concussion and is supposed to be out two weeks. As for the fee if Ody got a freebie then some people are going to have some serious questions for the team treasurer. Discount yes, freebie no.

Was not a freebie. I know what was paid and that it was paid not that it really matters. Was a couple of good games to gauge were the team is at before spring starts.

Based on what I heard, the coaches had already found out the '96 division was a bit weak so they concentrated on the older divisions.

Actually there wasn't really a 96 division. There was a U16 division. I believe the "pure" 96 teams did not lose single game to their 95 opponents. I did see 2 coaches watch part of the Ody Tornados game Sunday am and from my talk with one of the coaches (mens coach)Saturday at the Q and A session they did see and plan on seeing a bit of the 96's action however thought it was a little early in the process to watch too much. The panel also made it clear that there was no issue with level of talent. In fact they made speacial mention of how many "really bad" players there are in Div. 1. Not saying I agree, or disagree, just stating what they said. Guess when you have nearly 200 players in any division there are bound to be some bad ones. The Q and A was very interesting and informative and the tourney was a great tune up for league play....all 6 games....

Oh BTW, here is a cut and paste from the Tourney's website for you trophy mongers out there...

A Zen Sports Group™ event is not about a trophy or ego but about friendships, competition and love of the game.
