Why are the 98B Classic League scores always late in being p

Post  wahbs on Mon Mar 07, 2011 8:52 am

Every other league has had their scores posted no later than Sunday, many of them by Saturday, It seems the scores for 98B is ALWAYS late. Why is this?

My guess is that it is the Commissioner. I hate to complain since they are volunteers.

I hate to complain too, but we do pay alot of money to play in this league, so my expectation level is a bit more than what we are getting. Oh well....

sometimes the scores are delayed becuase managers do not call the scores in to the hotline...so the league commissioners will not post scores until both teams have reported score, cards.

I remember the U13 commish saying at the mgrs meeting back in August that he basically had better things to do then sit around and wait all day for the mgrs to get scores to him. He would only report scores once they were all in. Seemed like a real arrogant SOB. As long as he's commish, get used to scores being posted 3-4 days later.

Why volunteer if you don't want to do the job, I wonder? Can't say no?

As soccermom14 stated above - the scores are posted when all of the managers have called in the scores. If you are not satisfied with the speed at which scores are posted, complain to your manager. I'm afraid I'm on the commissioners side (if s/he in fact said this) - better things to do than sit on the edge of the seat waiting for 60 managers to get around to reporting scores.

I'm not sure what you were smoking that night. What I said (that's right, I have NO problem with people knowing who I am on this site) was that I would try to report the scores once both teams called it in. Between reffing a full day or traveling out of town on business...like today, it is sometimes difficult to get them entered. Nothing has changed in the 3 years I have handled this age. Are you knew to CL or this age group?
As for you thinking I am arrogant...no problem. I would suggest that next time, maybe you should gather up your courage and come talk to me face to face.
It's after 11 here on the east coast, but I will try to get them in tonight...just for you Fabiano.

I stand by you commish. In all my dealings with you, I have always felt that you were on the up/up and cared about the boys as a group, whether on the pitch or monitoring the administration part of the gig. If those who post such BS's world is so tightly wound around knowing what 13 year old boys are doing every Saturday, they might wan to check into a little Global news. I think we are monitoring what may be the biggest global event since 9/11 and all they care to know about is which pre-pubescent team beat another...

Just walk around the complex after your kids game and ask for scores... that way you dont have to wait. You will be done in 5 min.
