Interesting if true; Spring break may do some strange things to some rosters this weekend and next.

On this game, if FWFC is near full strength, Babel may find itself in trouble; on the other hand it doesn't matter too much at this point. Babel isn't going to ascend or descend from D2 this year anyway; they've spun their wheels this year

Is this because of Spring Break? if so, Wilco must be pissed!

Ya know, it is what it is. WR is known for rolling with it. This is a group of boys that played with a roster of 12 for almost the entirety of their U11 spring season, many times with only 11, once with only 10. Did not stop them from losing the #10 spot on goal differential only. This year has dealt us many lingering injuries.

As Free said, definitely spinning our wheels this year anyway, so, as I said, it is what it is! Just don't rule 'em out this weekend. Cool

    FCD Blue 2 - Ayses Black 1
    HUFC 3 - Pumas 0
    Solar 3 - Solar Red 0

3-0 seems to be the theme this week.

Dallas Texans 98 Red 0-3 Tejanos... Yes, thats what happens when you have no subs, and half your team is on vacation... Darn you spring break!!! Looks like that might have happened to several teams this week...

I agree! Classic League should do the same as SDL did this year and not schedule games the weekend of Spring Break.

Regardless of what CL should do...we all know that we will have games both weekends of the break so if parents plan vacations for those days..that is just blatant disregard for team unity, team effectiveness and the coach's request for no vacations.

I just wonder how many other D1 coaches allowed several players to be "on vacation" during one of the final three weeks of league play? I guess that is the difference between the divisions...serious soccer kids WANT to play in league games to ensure their team shows well. I get the fact that at this age, it is the parents who are the decision makers.

I just feel bad for the kids who showed up, played hard, played short handed. did their best and still lost! They are the ones who suffer for others selfish motives. Parents need to accept that these are competitive leagues--if you want to take vacations and miss practices, games --there are other leagues for you. In some cases--the loss is more substantial than just a game loss--its the difference in divisions. Sad

The Texans played with only 8 players? I thought I saw 11 on the field and one injured player on the bench. To not hurt the team, many parents schedule to leave for vacation after the games on the first Saturday and then return before the following Saturday's matches. It is unfortunate for the teams playing with less than a full roster, but we all know the preferred vacation dates when we sign contracts in July.

Current form for Spring 2011 season

    1st Solar 6w 1d 0L = 19pts
    2nd DT 4w 1d 2L = 13pts +5 goal diff
    3rd SR 4w 1d 2L = 13pts +4 goal diff
    4th Tigres 4w 0d 3L = 12pts +1 goal diff
    5th RM 4w 0d 3L = 12pts +0 goal diff
    6th Royal 3w 0d 4L = 9pts +1 goal diff
    7th FCD 3w 0d 4L = 9pts -1 goal diff
    8th Andro 2w 2d 3L = 8pts
    9th Kicks 2w 1d 4L = 7pts
    10th TFC 0w 0d 7L = 0pts

RQPS Said: Based on current standings:
4th place Royal close with SR and Solar (They lose both games)remain at 22pts
5th place Andro close with TFC and Kicks (They beat TFC and lose to Kicks)move up to 24pts
6th place DT close with Kicks and RM (They win both)move up to 25pts
7th place FCD close with Solar and Tigres (They lose both games)remain on 18pts
8th place RM close with Tigres and DT (They lose both games)remain on 18pts
9th place Kicks close with DT and Andro (Lose against DT but beat Andro)move up to 20pts
10th place TFC (Relegated) close with Andro and SR (They lose both)remain on 8pts

But Looks to me that there is a better chance of RM beating DT than of Kicks beating Andro. So I'll say Andro and DT both win. That leaves:

    Year end standings:
    1st Solar 52pts
    2nd Tigres 38pts
    3rd SR 35pts
    4th Andro 27pts
    5th DT 25pts
    6th Royal 22pts
7th RM 18pts (assuming better goal differential than FCD by the end)
8th FCD 18pts(There defense will need to be strong in the final two games to avoid the drop
    9th Kicks 17pts
    10th TFC 8pts Already relegated to D2

So Kicks and TFC return to their true home.

Interesting.....and what if DT had 'jelled' just a little sooner? Probably won't really matter. I think it will be FCD/Rev that will relegate. It may come to 'goal differential' Kicks will steal a point from someone....maybe DT?

Based on current form... I would think if Kicks are going to get a point they are going to get it from Andro. RM may steal a point from Tigres or DT.

Stealing 1 pt won't do it for Kicks. They are too far down on goal differential aren't they? They need a win.

6th - 9th places are still not out of relegation zone yet so don't be too quick on giving any of those teams too much credit. They will all have to win at least one game so it's going to be exciting going into the end of the season. My guess is FCD and TFC are going to be relegated due to current standing and upcoming schedule.
