Looks like Plano is going to win Region 1. That means Plano may win state 2 out of 3 years. Amazing what you can do when you have a total of 2,700 kids in your junior and senior class. Most 5A schools only have about 1,200-1,500 kids in those two classes. Go gigantic Plano!!!

OK McKinney Boyd has shot at winning Region II. Alot of hard work ahead some good Houston teams they could run into in Regional Semi-Finals.

All teams remaining have a shot at it. Didn't your team get beat twice by the team you face in the next round?

3rd time is a charm FutbollNut. My bet is it will not happen again. First time we were up 2 to 0 then ended in shootout and lost. 2nd time the team did not show up.

We need to play them with tenacity we played North Garland 2nd game won 4 to 1.

    Rowlett is a good team.

What makes you say that? They barely beat Keller Central who barely got into the playoffs. Martin has been walking through teams, Heritage is solid, Keller is outstanding, and then you have the #1 team in Texas with Carroll.

I agree #1 in Texas is up for grabs. Who wins the Gold has yet to be seen. The last regular season polls had SLC #3 in both offense and defense. Solid is as solid plays.

Plano Senior High is about to become the third school in size in Plano - I don't think the size thing holds as much water for soccer as a lot of sports. Too much luck involved to advance. If that were the case, Plano East and Allen would deal in every single sport (please ignore Allen's football and wrestling).

I think of last year's Jesuit and Wakeland wins and think how much luck played in addition to skill. This sport is almost perfect as far as serendipitous endings go. You just never know....

I've seen it many times, where a team has a blowout win during a tournament, then struggles (or loses) the following game. Why do you think that happens? The Dragonslayer may be near...

That is interesting.... the weather is usually a factor for only one team.
Was the field level for both teams and did the ball have the same pounds per square inch of air for both teams?
Hopefully, or that game would've been dreadfully unfair.
