I just heard the sad news that Chas passed away yesterday, after a long fight with cancer.

He coached my two sons, one on FCD 93 and the other on FCD 96 Blue.

Chas had been a fixture among the top of North Texas coaches for several decades. His Comet teams of the 90s were some of the most dominant teams in North Texas. The 93 boys were very competitive in D1 since U11, and played in Dallas Cup 2 years ago.

His growling, old-sailor voice will be missed from the Richland sidelines.

Wow,how sad. Always a great guy to chat with, a real advocate of the game, Chas will be missed but not forgotten.

There are many former players that will always remember what Chas and the other Comets coaches did for Dallas soccer. Chas was a great person that will be missed by many.

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we let you know the FC Dallas family lost one of its own this week, as youth coach Chas Bradley passed away on Thursday, March 17. Chas, a longtime coach, colleague and friend to many of us, had been battling cancer for many months. A memorial service for Chas is scheduled for 11 a.m., on Wednesday, March 23, at the Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Rd., Plano, Texas.

"During the time of his illness, Chas continued to come to training sessions, games, and tried to be around as much as possible even though he was not feeling well. Anyone who knew Chas would not have expected anything different from him. To Chas, soccer was therapeutic. Hundreds who have played for or have coached alongside Chas have been positively affected by his warm and caring personality, his knowledge of the game of soccer, and his strength of character. Chas has been an integral part of the success and growth of FC Dallas Youth and to the growth and popularity of soccer in the Metroplex through his tireless efforts working in the game he loved. He will be greatly missed. Please keep Chas and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. "
