    Please, please,please someone tell me my monitor is a piece of crap and that was NOT a yellow card the ref pulled out.

    From what I was told from people at the game, there were a dozen yellows pulled over the course of the match but never a red... including this pretty obvious call. Par for the course at HS games in NTX.

    That's disappointing. It was deliberate and violent...from the video a pretty easy red card call. They used to (may still do it) teach the CREF acronym. C stood for careless...regular foul, R stood for reckless...a yellow card, and EF stood for excessive force...a red card. Pretty easy to see what the call should have been using that.

    Both defending 5A and 4A state champions are out with Jesuit's loss tonight. Looks like another rematch with Carroll v Keller. Nice win by Heritage over Hebron.

    Any one know why Midland gets the Regional semis when NTX has represented Region 1 so many times?

    We had the regional in Fort Worth for several years and the El Paso teams got tired of coming here to get beat. Now, they just have to come to Midland to go home with a loss.
