Get real dude. If you think someone would really get sued for that, you don't know much about the law.
It was a joke. You must either be a Texans or an Andromeda parent without a sense of humor.

Actually, I have been in the communication design field for 30+ years and know a lot about copyright law. I have testfied as an expert in copyright cases. So I know exactly what I am talking about. You steal somones logo and use it is against the law, no if ands or buts. Illegaly acting like you are a representative of the Texans orginization is another. This would be a real easy case to prove. Even this thread could be used to prove the point as the response from several readers thought it was real. And I didn't say they would, I said they could.

Yeah but you still have to play for Liverpool.

There you go again, SR2, using your "opinions" to pass judgement on posters and their opinions. Here is an opinion: The refs in the HS playoff games I've seen are doing a fine job of making calls. Some parents are never going to be happy and will yell at the refs when the calls are made against their team. Some Hebron parents are particularly vocal.

Starting early on the bottle again Finish1. Your logic of bringing refereeing into a joke on this topic is astonishing...but mentioning trademarks, lawsuits, and defamation is equally so.

As a Liverpool parent, I am loving life at that club. Well run, fun city, great programs/events, facilities, uniforms, coaches...cost is lower than most (pretty equivalent). I honestly have zero complaints about it and have to laugh at those who fail to see it. As with the majority of the NTX soccer world, past national championships are of no use to myself nor my children. Fun being under the radar there, for certain.

A welcome contrast to the Andro situation for me.

Well said, Clueless. As a parent shuttling between 5 clubs, I could not have said it better myself. Besides, with changes for the better being made all the time, especially at the academy level, LP is set to be a major player in NTX in the coming years. This topic WILL be revisited. cheers

I have not been around Classic League for a few years now.

But please correct me if I'm wrong.

I looked at the Classic League Division 1 standings for all Age groups and

did not see one LIVERPOOL CLUB TEAM in the Standings at all!

Let me know exactly what your laughing at.

over the years several clubs rise to the top and fall. If you are around long enough you will see what I mean

    It used to be Longhorns,Comets

Then Solar ,Texans, Inter, DFW Tejanos.Andromeda

Then FC Dallas after they raided Inter and began MLS are strong
Texans have kept up and adjusted to the change.
    Solar fell hard last year
    Tejanos are barely there
    Longhorns have crumbled
    Andromeda is crumbling

The right Coach is more important than the club. And each club has some good coaches

Look on the girls side for D1. Also keep your own quote in mind and check the coaches that have recently gone to Liverpool instead of who is currently in D1 and then you may begin laughing also.

I think you also need to take into consideration the age of the club. Liverpool is either 4 or 5 years old and it would be difficult to reach the D1 standings building from the ground up in that amount of time. I think what people are speaking of is the size of the club, they have 70+ teams and are stronger on the girls side and have a good group of girls U11, U12 and U13. What will be interesting is the impact of the coaches they have brought in over the last year and can they raise the level on the boys side.

Well, in my particular case, my daughter's D1 team was only 17-0-2 this year, but, again, I don't really care about that - it's the whole package, not the championships or wins (they are nice, but not what's utmost important).

Liverpool has only existed for 3 years, they are building up their coaching, which will, hopefully, build up their reputation and standings. I don't know anyone who is stating they are one of the winningest clubs around, only a great club on the way to being greater.

In fact, the girl's equivalent of DA is ECNL - Liverpool can't even entertain joining a club-based league such as that given no history. If that's what floats people's boat as far as ripping on a club, go for it - it's all true.

There are far more teams on FCD/Texans/Andro/Solar than their top ones.

I agree with TheFarPost the right coach is the most important decision your son and you make. I believe you want to find a coach that teaches technical skills U16 and below. Above U16, your son needs to be highly athletic and/or skilled/developed to be on top level DA and top Classic League DI showcase teams. I do not feel all top level teams play quality soccer but they do have great athletes.
