It was a year in the making, it was frighteningly quiet out there this evening typically when the lights are on and a dozen teams practicing.

Such a nice facility, surprised there was no other parents out there in the parking lot chatting it up.

Wow. As a first year Andro parent that makes me sad. Was there no one there at all? I know coach told us on Monday that we would be practicing elsewhere this week due to rain. Easy come easy go I guess.

No Andromeda connection but have always enjoyed competing against them. It's a bad state of affairs.

One parent told me that someone in the organization ask them to have a fundraiser to help pay there coaches.

Well everyone can now move on.....no more drama. It's a shame that bad management of money led to this. For a club that was ranked #13 nationally in boys soccer in 2010 in Soccer America Magazine.

Is this another joke? If it is foreclosed, I can't believe there is nothing on their web site. Why would there be no explanation or comment? Don't say anything because someone is going to be sued?

It was a ghost town this evening, place is usually bustling with players being dropped off/being picked up,parents mingling chatting it up,etc.

Definitely gonna be a change of pace for many.

    Here's an email that got passed to me from Rick at SDL Tuesday afternoon;

    All Managers/Coaches:
We have received several queries from parents and managers whose SDL
teams are scheduled to play at Andromeda this weekend regarding whether
Andromeda's decision to close their fields to their teams' usage this
week impacts their SDL game; executive management at Andromeda have
communicated to us that SDL games will be played as scheduled.
Thank you for informing your parents.
    Regards
    Jason and Rick

Right now they obviously lost the fields, the club still exists, like last year when Solar lost their fields. Hopefully they clean house, kick some a$$ and start over with some people on the top with a business sense. HN is giving classes at the community college on how to lead a successful club in casecsomebody is interested.

Do "executive management at Andromeda..." still have the authority to give the OK for field usage?

Maybe someone at Andro could have figured out that huge and beatiful faclities cost and you don't buy a $1.8M complex when your revenues are only around $1M.

Well, I would expect that an organization that knows such a major change is coming would have a "press release" prepared and ready to post immediately, to provide appropriate information to their members/parents etc. That would be a prudent step.

No one knows what is going to happen to the land.
There are lots of rumors out there. All clubs are interested.

The owner is one of the top real estate people in the United States. He is not giving the facility away.
I don't think any club can afford it.

As far as Andromeda goes, A small group of coaches will try to carry on next year.
The big catch is the 2 Academy teams.
USSF soccer owns those rights. They cannot be transfered to another club. ( Why Liverpool/Andro merger failed)
If another club affiliated with Andromeda and kept the Andromeda name and gets USSF approval then they may continue.

There will probably be 3 Academy teams in Dallas next year.
Other top clubs probably TFC or in Oklahoma- Celtics or Tulsa will apply
You have to show 3-5 years of financial stability.

I do not think this goes quitely into the night. This is a very proud club with allot of great heritage and solid coaches. I suspect there are lots of talks going on and hopefully there will be some good news very soon.

lesson 1 -- pillage all the other clubs of their talent and claim it as your own .

Thats enough for today. Just pay the lady with the Rolex on the way out.

Yeah, except that email doesn't say anything about the foreclosure and makes it sound like Andro mgmt made the decision to not let their teams play on the fields, as opposed to the lender making that decision for them. Until the SDL guys talk to the lender and get permission, I would not count on there being any games at the fields formerly known as Andro. And if there are games, those port-a-lets sure are going to be busy with the clubhouse padlocked! Smile

Latest Document filed with the Collin country clerk:

I'm no lawyer, but my best layman's guess:

The new owner is the old owner ... Field Sport LLC. Their trustee is Bruce Coleman of Powell Coleman and Arnold LLP.

    Agreed to 28March. Filed 05April.

@Jack, I think this just means that they substituted the existing trustee with a new one -- technically, has nothing to do with the foreclosure. Disclaimer: Not a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
