    98s D1 Next Season

Post  Therecanonlybeone on Thu Apr 14, 2011 4:31 pm

With the top four teams moving on to "Premiership", what happens to those four open spots? Do the four clubs that made it into premier retain those spots and slide their D2/D3 team or PPL/APL (if applicable) into D1? In the interest of keeping D1 competitive, will the two last place D1 teams get relegated into D2 next season or remain in D1? Does anybody know how this will work next season?

What premiership are you referring to? Classic league will remain the same next year... some players may leave to go and play in pre-academy league but the club slots will remain the same.

I undersood that the future of the Pre-Academy team bye's in Classic League was up for discussion or vote tonight in the Classic League meeting. Can anyone confirm? I know its been discussed in other posts but the question remains what will happen to the club bye's for the teams moving to Pre-Academy? Some say the club will keep others think differently.

There was no meeting of the board this week...unless they kicked me off and didn't tell me! Shocked

I think you are confusing Premier League with Pre-Academy. Top 4 teams qualify for Premier League but this is on top of their classic league games not a substitution it. This year with Pre-Academy what will happen with the Premier League qualifying teams slots.

If Gabby ends up moving his Andro team to FCD as rumored, it seems unlikely they could keep 75% together. I assume AYSES Gold would move up to D1? There would not be a replacement for PL?
