I heard today at Richland college Andromeda USSF academy is done and players are looking for a place on a team next year. I also heard another USSF academy program in local area is struggling financially since they now have a girls program similar for older girls their teams will be joining. Not sure of these facts but that was the latest scuttlebutt at the fields today. Their was discussion since boys are no longer allowed to play HS that we may need to go to one USSF DA team in dallas area to effectively support our players. Some parents were not sure if the HS school rule applies this coming year or in two years. General feeling was this next soccer year.

Novice- wrong as usual-We played Andro on Sat. and parents said they are fine and have 2 months of games and 1 more showcase. I think they go to play Houston Dynamo in Houston next week.
Most players and parents are not as concerned about High School as you seem to be.

Facts! What Facts? You have no facts. Just silly rumor mill talk on the sidelines between a couple of parents. You continue your attack on the USSF. We get it already. You statement about the girls side is really misguided. The only additional cost the club incurs is the cost of a coach. That's not a crippling cost as you suggest. And the innuendo on consolidating to one North Texas USSF team because of high school soccer is silly. You are sort of suggesting that the USSF Academy should only have the MLS teams in it. That might be a good idea, but not because of high school soccer. Most high school soccer teams have only 1 or 2 Academy players. I think high school soccer will survive without those players. I do wish they had grandfathered the current group of seniors. The HS rule applies for the new upcoming year. Though I don't see how the rule is enforceable especially since they hamstrung the clubs with the December 31st cutoff date.

The German wrote:I heard the same and hope that the new Andromeda will be successful and I have to give props to the coaches for staying. It would be easy to just leave instead of staying and trying to rebuild the club. The new leadership has a long way too go but what I heard about the concept it looks promising.soccergrinder wrote:Many of the coaches have made the decision to remain with Andromeda and move forward as a club under new leadership. Many key coaches in the club will be involved in this leadership. Over the last several weeks they have solicited support and advice from attorneys, business leaders, the USSF and the coaches. They have made significant progress and are optimistic that Andromeda will be successful under some restructuring and under this new leadership.
Any truth to the latest rumor that FC Dallas has purchased the fields?

WOW! Two upsets in the weekend games for u15/16.
Major = Andromeda 2 v Solar 0. Can that be correct?
Minor = FC Dallas 2 v Texans 0. Texans have been sliding this Spring.

I have assets on the ground who hear from a reliable source who use to go to school with a guy, who knows a guy, who gets his haircut at the same place as a very high level source that a deal to save andro was on the table but it was poo poo'd by the top andro guy. Liverpool had a working deal on the table but mr andro wants his invested money back out of the deal. Scuttled the who thing. It may have even left andro name intact.

As long as Strifler or Hughes have any say in the future of Andromeda...it appears doomed.

Nice "assets"...
Bringing up poo poo kinda of ruined it though. Of course it fits in with the ATF ambiance.
