Promotion and Relegation and the effect on parental logic

    Post  go99 on Mon May 02, 2011 4:45 pm

How come when a teams stay in there division or get promoted the argument is that the kids should be allowed to stay on the team because they "earned" it? However when they dropped these same people don't call for the to stay in the lower division. After all didn't they "earn" it too?

The more important question is who is that chic in your avatar?

go99, if you change that avatar, you're going to probably be more despised than Bin Laden is(was). Yep. They finally got him!!!!

If they are being relegated then changes need to be made in order to play at the next level; if they are being promoted then they deserve a chace to see if they are good enough to stay there.

Wait what? It seems as if they are being relegated changes aren't needed, the level should be easier and therefore they should be just fine. I am still failing to see it as anthing other than hypocrisy

I agree with you, Go. It's hypocrisy! "My kid is so good, he kept the team at this level or moved them up to the next level, but it's never my kid that got beat and helped the team move down a level."

Or you could say "My kid is so good, he kept the team at this level or moved them up to the next level and your kid didn't really help that much. So even though he helped us get here, we now want him off the team."

    That is hypocrisy!
