Re: UEFA Finals: Manu U vs Barcelona?
Brilliant game by Barce! Couple of changes made by Pep Guardiola surprised me slightly: Mascherano starting at center back (with Puyol on the bench) and Abidal replacing Adriano at left back (what a great come back story!). Both did very well defensively. Fergeson gambled after Rafael got hurt, playing 3 backs and Nina up front in the left. Thought he would bring Anderson on. Barce man-handled them right away, intercepting a ball near the penalty box. villa curved a brilliant one to the top corner. van Der Saar could not do anything... but what a great career. just not a perfect ending for perhaps the best goalie in recent years. Evra did not defend well in the first goal.

Mascherano played well and when he's on is a beast. No Puyol but he's lost a step so it was a calculated decision which paid off.

ManUtd is a more balanced team this time that doesn't rely strictly on one player (Ronaldo). Barca is virtually the same team.
Well you got one thing right , they are the same team. Raising the trophy after crushing man u -again

Smart move by Pep. An intelligent player, very impressed by Mascherano's play today except in the very beginning of the game when he almost made a mess handling a long ball to Rooney. Could be a chance if valdes did not punch the ball out.
At 5'8, maybe 150 lbs, you would never think Mascherano could be a center back in a top team, let alone the best team. Thought Pep would pull Busquets back and let Mascherano play holding mid.
Mascherano and Pique could be a great combination in back for Barca. They cover each other well. He was a good pick after Yayo Toure left for ManC.

Will Pep stick around for at least another year or will he move on? What else does he have to prove?
