wow - interesting shake up taking place in the U-13 D1 division. Solar has 2 teams already and adding his Royal team to the mix.

Kevin is taking his team to 97 Pre-Academy. Maybe Castro takes the CL spot left behind.

He has some good talent in the royal squad - I don't know if they will stick around with DZ as coach. nothing wrong with DZ but is all about the resume when it comes to coach a D1 squad. Just my opinion.

Yes it is true....majority of 98 Royal following him to Solar. We will have Solar 98 D1 spot. Keven will do ACademy and Pre Academy.

Not correct. KS will coach 2000's this year not Castro.

Not talking about 2000 silly......Academy refers to 97s. And Pre-Academy refers to 98s.......used to start at U16 but starts at U14 now.......Castro took his 03s to Solar along with most of what used to be TFC Royal.

Don't know anything about Castro or his move to Solar, but feel compelled to get the facts as correct as possible.
U15 Pre-Academy is 96 birth year
U14 Pre-Academy is 97 birth year
U13 Pre-Academy is 98 birth year
USSF Developmental Academy stays as it has been since 2009.
U15 Pre-Academy is 96 birth year
U14 Pre-Academy is 97 birth year
U13 Pre-Academy is 98 birth year
USSF Developmental Academy stays as it has been since 2009.

Pretty sure no one is for sure keeping any byes that'll be abandoned by Pre-Academy. Classic League has yet to rule on that yet and if they do then Classic League turns into a three club league. Just making sure everyone knows that we all know nothing right now about how that is working out. Teams may THINK they are going to keep a bye but could be very disappointed later on.

Once again we arent referring to 2000s when talking about Pre Academy and Academy we are talking about 98 and 97....Castro is coaching 98 D1 at Solar and Kevin is coaching 98 and 97 Pre Academy. This is not the Academy the younger soccer players play in.....

I believe he was correcting the statement in red. DA still starts at U16...not U14. Anything below U16 is USCS pre-academy. U16 and U18 are USSF DA.

Ok - so help me understand:
Solar U-13 currently has 2 D1 teams - DC will coach KS old team and Solar Red will remain. If royal brings 75% of the squad over and they go with DC, what happens to their bye? can a 3rd Solar team take over even though the players end up with DC? I guess the bye belongs to the club and they can do whatever, correct? I believe i answered my own question.

KS's "old Solar team" - Solar 98 is going to stay with KS as the new 97 Pre-Academy team.
Solar Red - Ray DeLeon's team will fill in slots in the 97 Pre-Academy team, fill in slots in the 98 Pre-Academy team and some may stay in CL.
DC is apparently coming to Solar and one of the age groups he is coaching is 98 CL.

I would imagine the answer to be yes.
The 97 Solar Red Solca team will mostly make-up the 96 Pre-Academy team and Solar Gold will get to stay D1.

So when does everyone find out what is truely going to happen? I understand that some teams may fall apart due to relegation to a lower division. But if the pre-academy clubs don't get to keep all those byes, won't those clubs be saved from having to drop down? Will they know before July 1?

So, you're saying all of Solar 98 is 97 birth year? otherwise, only a portion would be stayin with KS as the new '97 pre-academy team.
