Re: Andro refiles as a new non profit
Here is the US Club soccer announcement about the Texas Pre-Academy League.
http://www.usclubsoccer.org/main.aspx?sec_id=19&guid=6a04a6f1-48cf-4b1e-b20a-ba81e242e27f
Andro SC/FC was not invited. Could that change between now and August, I suppose, but doubt it.
As for the current DA teams, I think it is obvious they get to finish the season. I believe the play-offs begin June 24th.
Should those boys that are currently on Andro SC's U18 and U16 DA teams get to play next year - being September 2011 - IMO, yes. We should not punish the boys for the financial ruin of the club - same exact argument that was made to the Classic League that got certain teams N + 1 rule.
September 2012 - agree different story - and IMO, Andro FC would not have the track record to justify inclusion.

Re: Andro refiles as a new non profit
As go was saying earlier, pre academy isn't an application/invitation thing. If you read the anouncemment, it says "Eight clubs from the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy will be participating in the Texas Pre-Academy League:" and then go on to list the clubs. It is simply made up of all the Texas DA clubs, except they left off Andro from the anouncement.
Kind of interesting the anouncement came only 2 days after the Andro foreclosure related filings . . .

MU will be coaching all 3 pre academy teams.
USSF DA made it a sticking point. If you don't do Pre Academy you lose your DA Teams

So where's the announcement of their tryouts? How are all of us supposed to know to bring our bb 98/97s to them?

Re: Andro refiles as a new non profit
Wow...if I read this right, Andro gets in as the 9th team in the TPAL . Sounds like good news for Andro parents/kids!
Looks like Classic league lucked out, their 'wait & see' stance paid off, hoping for the gut-churning confusion to sort itself out. Still, some (minor?) drama left - will FCD aborb AR 97 and have 4(!) teams in D1 U15? or will both Andro teams stay with the club? Ah yes, the joys of NTX soccer...

Oh yes, as if DP needs dad's help to secure what he's earned. Anyone that knowns Mike can speak to his integrity.

Saw many of the Andro Red 97 team players at the U15 Andromeda FC Pre-Academy tryouts along with almost all of the Andro White team. I counted an additional 20 or so kids out there as well. Looks like lots of talent. The USSF Developmental Academy teams were practicing too. All at the old Prince of Peace Solar fields. Flashbacks for sure.

That's very interesting..thought JB took the whole team over to FCD..but not surprising. There's a glut of 97s in FCD and maybe they saw their priority. Combining Red and White could make a lot of teams feel Blue. Hope MP and MU succeed..they are outstanding.

Goog grief. You sound like the Andromeda version of soccernovice.
What makes him the real deal, your son being on the team? What are his credentials and past accomplishments?

i in no way shape or form know dane but his U18 USSF Academy team is in 4th place in the Texas Division and holds the #6 spot out of 12 spots to go to Regionals and Nationals as a wild card team.

Re: Andro refiles as a new non profit
so you are saying he managed to take the best of andro all the way to #4 and in the 50 percentile looking to sneak in on a wild card. Not sure if what you are saying is any different that what mspan02. Anyway neither of those say he is a good or bad coach but it would be nice to hear why he is the bee's knees.

Re: Andro refiles as a new non profit
I have no player in that age group.
The little I have been around him, I have been very impressed with his passion and understanding of Development.
There's no abuse, no ego , no politics - just loves to teach and has a lot of passion.
Its just nice to see good old fashion coaching.
I'm about to retire from being a club dad and had a DD before that. I've been around most of the top
coaches and he just has something I have not seen much in Dallas Youth soccer.
Its nice to see!

Yes, I am saying he took andro to number four over the top talent in Texas. And that IS pretty impressive if you no anything about Academy soccer. And if you think being number #6 out of the top 48 teams in the United States trying to get one of 12 national spots to go regionals isn't impressive then you know very little if anything about Academy soccer. And yes, it is a LOT different than what mspan02 is saying and just about anybody could see that except for you. I don't have a kid that plays for him and I have never met him but I have one that plays on the Solar Chelsea U18 Academy team. So I know a little about soccer and have seen quite a few Academy teams and games including Andro. Any coach that accomplishes that task IS by definition a good coach at least in some respect. I don't think I ever said he is the "bee's knees". And why is being a wild card team "sneaking" in? Is coming in second place within the division "sneaking" in?

And I always thought LM was the coach for the last 12 month and JD helped. Don't get me wrong, I am sure he is a good coach but LM should get the credit for the result not JD.soccergrinder wrote:go99 wrote:so you are saying he managed to take the best of andro all the way to #4 and in the 50 percentile looking to sneak in on a wild card. Actually he took the top talent in andromeda to #4 behind everyone in NTX besides solar. So if this accomplishment makes you a good coach then the Texans and FCD by definition are better coaches. Wins and losses alone do not determine the quality of the coach good or bad. That is why what you are saying is exactly like mspan02. Far post seems to have got it and posted something useful about the coach.

I would be of the opinion that they both should get the credit.
