Really? Gonna start looking for at cost to play comp soccer in NTX on the day before contracts? What does it matter? Parents have decided/budgeted to pay whatever their bb's club/teams fees will be. Whether it is $1500.00 to $3000.00 per year, at this point what does it really matter?
What does it matter? Heck half of the stuff on here doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what the best 04 team is. It doesn't matter who won the last 02 tournament, but it's talked about on here. It's an OPEN forum, you can talk about whatever you want whether it matters or not.
BTW, not everyone is sitting in a $1.5M home in Lake Highlands, so yes it does matter. Not everyone can afford to pay $3000 to play on the DT or FCD teams, so yes the difference in what it costs to play for a D1 team vs D2 team could be the deciding factor for some.
You must not live in LH...$1M+ homes are not the norm. Point is....1-2 days before signing and price is a deciding factor.....you should have bailed to rec soccer long ago...
Dumbest comment I have ever seen on this board. Just because someone is watching their money doesn't meant their kid should go to rec.
It doesn't matter if you are signing tomorrow or next year. Club costs affect almost every one. To pretend like it doesn't is just ridiculous. What if your team didn't make and your kid has to find a club quickly. It's nice to know the price differences. You sound like the coach at a high priced club that doesn't want everyone to know how much you are really charging.
At 43 posts, I am sure you have seen stuff that is more stupid...
my point from earlier post - Meaning...that if any family had planned on signing with a team that cost less than $2K and then did not get a spot, do you pay whatever you have to pay to have your bb play comp soccer or park him in rec for the next year? The cost question for the 95% of the families should have been addressed early on...not 3 days before signing date where the options are diminishing.
The cost(s) of the major/large clubs is pretty much known within a tight range along with the fact that they will most likely edge North every year. That is the price you should be prepared to pay if you are 3 days from signing without a commitment. If parents bring their bb through multiple years of Academy, all with the goal of playing competitive soccer, they should have done their homework as to the associated costs long before signing week. The options of playing with an indie team with little or no coaching fees are history...sadly.
I shake my head every year when I hear a parent who only considers their bb playing with one of the big four, sign to one of the big four after July ?th...go through QT...end up in DIII...and moan constantly about the cost of Select Soccer...
