    Post  Seinfeld4 on Thu Jul 07, 2011 11:49 am

Do all the D I teams still exist?

    1. TFC
    2. Manchester (white) - heard a rumor they were invited to Classic League.
    3. FC Toros
    4. Pachuca
    5. Triumph - team folded
    6. Ayses Gold
    7. WF Express
    8. Manchester (blue)
    9. Dallas Texans - taking a Texans bye into Classic League D III
    10. Texas Rage United

AYSES Gold is now AYSES black. The Gunners are now considered AYSES gold. I believe that there are 5-8 players from the old gold team that will be playing with the black team.

    Ok.

PPL will be giving (5) byes into Division I. The team must have N+1 from the prior years roster. Looks like (4) teams from D I are gone: Triumph (folded), Ayses (doesn't sound like they will meet the N+1 requirement), Manchester - white (classic league) and Texans (classic league).

Of the six remaining teams who will meet the N+1 requirement?

I guess the FC Dallas team that finished 4th in the challenge tournament could get one of the byes. If they are not invited back into classic league.

THE UNDEFEATED TFC '99 BOYS TEAMS IS COMING BACK WITH A VENGEANCE. I'm sure they will make it into classic league this upcoming year because they finished undefeated in a very competitive PPL 1 last year. Now it looks like PPL 1 is watered down so they will definitely win PPL again and challenge in again.

So the answer to your question is TFC '99 boys will get a BYE definitely.

What is N+1 by the way?

N+1 means they must have half of their roster from last year plus one to qualify for a bye.

Rumor was they lost several players.

They had a very good run last year. Good luck this season.

more than likely they(TFC) will not have as good of a season as last year they lost some quality players and its not not like they just blew out all their opponents but still a strong team but I think liverpool white and FC Toros will be 1 and 2 this time around! Cool

Liverpool rumored to have done the buy 1, get 3 free deal with players. Could be some political problems with new vs. old, and old not happy watching kids who helped get them good last year were cut to make room.

Liverpool did add several new players to the team. It is unfortunate that someone had to get cut to make that happen.

My BB is one of the new players. We have been treated well from day one. The parents and players on the team have been very accepting of the new players and their families.

Texas Rage United also folded so they will not be in D1. Aysses Black should qualify for D1 unless to many quality players moved too the gold team. I know Manchester blue picked up 4 or 5 new players and are looking much stronger this year.

They were a really nice team. I didn't see any of the challenge tournament but based on the results it looked like they had a bad tournament.

The great question for all 12 year old soccer teams. Which team is going to show up?

Manchester White is in Classic so they are out of D1 along with the Texans. Triumph and Texas Rage United folded. So that leaves:
Pachuca,FC Torros, Manchester Blue, Aysses Gold, TFC 99, WF Express. That leaves 4 spots open for movement if all the D1 teams remain from last year that are returning and qualify. Anyone know who fell out of CL and into PPL and who is favorable to come up from PPL D2?

Pachuca joined Andromeda. They will be playing in D II Classic League next season.

Plano only allows 5 byes into D I. So, there will be at least 5 open spots in D I.

DFW Tejanos is coming back from classic league. In the past they played in Arlington. FC Dallas (che) got invited back to classic based on their results in the challenge tournament.

TFC 99 boys only lost two starters off the undefeated team from last year. Those two players went to classic 1 teams.

We also cut 4 players from the team because we had almost 19 kids try out for our undefeated team. We had so many kids tryout that we built a 3rd TFC 99 team, which is now called TFC 99 WHITE. Our top TFC 99 team is stronger than it was last year. We picked up 6 new players from all classic league teams. So TFC 99 will be a force to be reckoned with again this year in Plano 1. We will definitely be number 1 in plano premiere again this year. As a result, we will be challenging in again on memorial day weekend.

Everyone saw the way we dominated the league last year so I would expect the same again this year.

We are looking for another undefeated season.

Is the TFC 99b team that is ranked #46 in NTX and went 0-2-1 in the qualifying tournament, didn't make it out of bracket in the Carey, didn't win a game in the Spring Classic or the Silver division from the Winter Cup? Just want to make sure I have the correct team given your comments below as I try to make sense of your overflowing confidence and degradation of every other team in the PPL.

First, I'm curious why any player capable of playing for a Classic league team would voluntarily leave Classic to go play in Plano for a team trying to get into Classic (and pick a team that had a chance to get into Classic in May and didn't make it)? (if they were already in Classic, why would they leave in order to try to come back?)

Were they cut by their Classic team and unable to find a spot on another Classic team? And if that's the case, are they really Classic level players? And if you argue that they are Classic level players, why wouldn't they simply find another Classic level team?

And if your argument is that the boys wanted to play on a stronger team, then assuming for a second that your TFC is so strong that they are better than all the teams in Classic league (which is what you'd have to argue), why is the team still playing in Plano and not in Classic already? I understand the "off day" argument regarding this year's qualifying tournament (though that doesn't explain the ranking in NTX nor the other recent tournaments), but if the team is that strong, shouldn't they still have a pretty easy time placing at least 2nd in the qualifying tournament against arguably much weaker teams (these were after all just teams you'd already beaten soundly from Plano, teams from Arlington, and the last place teams from Classic). Seems that even on an off day, if the team is as strong as you indicate, you should have steamrolled through.

Just curious since you seem to think that you'll have utterly no competition in Plano this season.

Just trying to make the facts fit your propaganda.

    Thanks!

DragonStryker-Prior to the QT I tried to make a case that the Arlingon teams were were superior and could even beat or hang with most CL teams based on tourney results. I was informed that tourney results are not accurate do to guest players and kids on vacation! So, good luck with this argument but just be warned, you have to prove your case without the tourneys....FYI-just look to see what teams won the QT this year. Razz

Not worried about proving my case. The results speak for themselves. If the TFC team was as utterly dominating as indicated by the 2 posts prior to mine, they would have sailed through the qualifying tournament with no issues (and they would have had substantially better tournament results in the spring).

You were exactly right about the teams from Arlington. I did not get the chance to see any of them play but reports from the challenge tournament was they were very strong teams. The results definately showed that.

How is Arlington going to look this year?

From D II: I know that Liverpool (white), Aces and Elite added stronger players to their rosters. I guess we will see how it all plays out in a couple of weeks at the placement tournament.

Only losses were a majority of their tournament games last season (well at least during the spring, didn't do much research back beyond that point). Otherwise, they were undefeated.

Just thinking maybe the reason they (TFC99) did so poorly in the Qt was OVER CONFIDENCE . Saw this team play and lets just say, sportsmanship is not part of any vocabulary TFC 99 possesses. So I'm not to surprised by your comments. It's really sad to see you need to boost your ego by repeating things again and again. Really I don't see your need to degrade the PPL teams because your unhappy about the failure of TFC in the QT. Rolling Eyes

    Copied from PYSA website.

    link: http://www.pysa.org/PDF/Comp%20Forms/F11PlacementTourBYEInfo.doc

BYE’s will be issued in age groups U12-U19 to 50% of the teams in Division 1 with a maximum of 5 teams. This will only apply to the Division 1 teams that maintained N+1 and will be based on the combined standings from Fall to Spring of the previous year.

    * Priority used in issuing the BYES will be:
    * 1st-5th in PPL Division 1
    * Teams moving from Classic/Lake Highlands to Plano will be determined by points in the Challenge games or Lake Highlands Qualifier.
    * 6th- 7th place team in PPL
    * Again only 5 BYE’s will be issued

First and foremost, the reason a player should leave another team to play for another team should be better coaching. If you are getting top notch coaching, it doesn't matter what league you play in. So I hope that answers your question on why a player would leave classic leageu to play in plano premiere.

In the challenge tournament, the arlington premiere team was very strong. They looked like a classic 1 team....no lie. Then the bottom team in classic league (fc dallas black) borrowed 2 extremely fast forwards from there classic 1 and 2 teams so thats why we tied them 2-2. The team only scored 2 goals all season long but in qualifying they score 8 goals. Think about it.

We have played all these plano 2 teams you are referring to and there will be no competition there. We have beat all of them convincingly. We beat liverpool (plano 2) team in our own tournament (tfc blue cup) last year 6-0. We beat Elite 4-0.

TFC 99 boys will win Plano 1 again this year and challenge in.

Do you remember your teams result in the more recent Elite Tournament? 1-0 Liverpool.

I have seen the Elite team recently and they are significantly better than the past.

Did you see FC Toros results in the Puma Cup? Looks like they are stronger too.

    Good luck this season.
