The Good ole days!
All 99 parents on this board need to adopt a 01 team so we can go through the craziness again! I miss the days of all the banter and BS that was thrown at each other during the summer of qualifying for classic!Or we could just line up GO, Omega,AX and plantit and kick them where it hurts!

99 used to have the great witty banter but the it just turned nasty and mean so it wasn't fun anymore. Miss the good old days. Fortunately I have a DD and it's on over on that side of things. I have only been threatened once

Return from Long Sleep
Good ol day still here!! Many parents try have fun on boards as some 99 parents take things too serious. Many BB not stick with soccer 4ever, it just a game. I miss times when plantif and more get angry with Mothra and nemesis GODZILLA!!! My older BB finish his career this season, I reflect on the fun, experience and relations Mothra make. From APL, thru all level of DCL and then get the experience of Academy. Ton of joy for entire family. Time for Mothra to let 99 BB pick his own way, not try to influence, and remember much of life for kids outside soccer. Include not practice too much, cause burn out...Find coach BB like, bad coach make soccer no fun! Take time off for parents as well. Competitive soccer cost too much $$$, too much control by big clubs. Parents do have control, just not always willing to exercise it. Might mean BB not play on #1 team, hurt parent ego, but BB enjoy and want to continue. Let kid have ego and be star. Game for them, not certain overbearing parents. Mothra look forward to many more yrs of soccer fun. Look @ boards every few days in search of Godzilla, must be at bottom of Pacific.

Aswan has a boy that played in the 95s. He gave up soccer this last year to pursue American football, as I believe he has chance to be the starting running back at a rather large high school. But I agree, Aswan has a gift when it comes to writing. Now in person, that is a whole other story. Just kidding. Maybe Aswan can be found on high school football forum somewhere if they exist. Most likely he will pop up on this forum from time to time and continue to entertain us.

No wonder he was always giving us hell for spending so much time worrying about our young soccer studs. His kid plays football and at 16 you pick that game up and have it mastered in three weeks.
