CFB Soccer Assoc. has new league for academy teams

Post  Ibystander on Thu Jul 14, 2011 11:31 am

Just wondering why anyone would continue to sign up for SDL when we have leagues that charge 1/2 of what they charge? CFBSA now has a league for academy teams, starting this fall. I think parents should push their coaches to take a look and maybe try something new? I'm all for it, it's in Carrollton:) Seriously, SDL charges double. Time for a revolution.

I agree but unfortunately the norm is SDL and until teams start to leave and go else where nothing will change.

That's just it. Start talking. We are, and hopefully, the spring season will bring a few surprises.

but...but...at SDL you get one disinterested ref and get to play on the BlueSky goat ranch for your $1000. good luck topping that.

From what I heave heard there will be 3 ref at the U9/U10 level at that cfbsa academy league. That's not bad either...

Totally agree. Tried to support the move to EAL started at the end of the spring season. Again, cheaper and 3 refs. Maybe SDL will pay attention and adjust their fees accordingly. Then again, maybe not?!
