    Magic Number?

Post  Soccerinsanity on Thu Jul 14, 2011 7:01 pm

Just curious...what was/is each team's magic number? Did most teams sign 18?

Sorry for the ? on age however...... oh well never mind on that.... At 00, 01,99 and 98 I do not like the expanded roster to 18. 16 is a much better number for allowing the boys at this age playing time. If you have 7 on the bench you are going to have several of those players never getting into some of the "important" games. I guess if you have a team full of players who play multiple sports and they are going to miss games on a regular basis then it might be ok however I doubt it would really work out as planned.

As the boys get older and injuries begin to occur then 18 on a roster works well. I would say up thru U16.

At U17 and above 20 on a roster is often needed.

My bb's '01 team is going into QT with 15. Likely will be D1. It's a good size, after 16, playing time gets really iffy.

I was really trying to ask how many coaches went with how many kids? For instance, I heard FCD-Lopez (former AndroNavy)went 18, FCDPremier went 17/18?
