Who would have thought after the first 15 minutes that the US will lose this game? PK were pathetic but the game is over at that point. Interesting game the Japanese girls played.

So true, a good display of composure by the Japanese and skill by both teams.....now let's just wait for the expert's analysis pontificating how Cheney's injury lost us this game. While you're at it, let's fire Pia along with Bradley.

What a disappointment. They looked so good at the start. I agree, you need to keep your calm and finishers win games. Just sad it all started out looking so good and ended so ugly. Bet it will be a while before they get over this kind of a loss. Still second place is a victory of sorts in how far women's soccer has come.

every team in the history of soccer can sing that same sad song. If only we had finished our chances. If you could finish all of your chances in soccer the scores wouldn't be so low. THey were just beat in the field of play by better soccer. It was a mistake to go and try to play possesion with Japan. They did reduce Japan's percentage but still lost in possesion and ran their legs out in the process. YOu can't take athletic longballers into the world cup and then decide let's play possesion. Tactical error by the coach. Just let them kick it and run. You want to play possession then choice different players.
