Bunch of friendlies going on this weekend in Roanoke (yes, that is in the metroplex) recreation center fields. Dozen or so 01 through 98 teams. Tejanos organized it, games going through Sunday. Good arrangement for this time of year, especially this year with all the shuffling of teams and players.

Last night: Andromeda 98 Pre-Academy played vs. 98 FCD Blue (D2), FCD won 2-1, and could have been a wider margin. That Andromeda is a small team, maybe fielding a bunch of 99s in there for the future, but looks like a long year for them in Pre-Academy, losing to a lower half D2 team which had a lot of turnover in players.

Also Tejanos 00s beat FCD 01 (former Andro Red) about 3-1. Good competition. Tejano 00s have lot of new players and of course the FCD team was playing up. Andromeda White 00s played Liverpool Kuyt 00s too but didn't hear the score.

Heard from a parent that Andro White 00 beat Liverpool Kuyt 00 "by a few", but no details

the Andromeda 98 pre academy team is the D2 ASG Gold 99 squad so yea they could be in for a long but learning year!
