    7 year old Pro

Post  Running on Mon Aug 08, 2011 10:59 am

Real Madrid just signed a 7 year old to a contract with the team. Guess we are way behind the curve if we do not have our 04's and 05's getting pro contracts yet.

It isn't a pro contract. In Spain, you can't sign one until you have reached the age of 18. In England it is 16. See Cesc Fabregas.

Admittedly I know nothing about the technicalities of what they signed. What is it that they did sign? Does it have any binding effect on either party? I anticipate they will fly him to Spain and he will join the Real Academy but is there more to it?

Still seems pretty young to have signed anything with a mega club like Real. Hope the little guy does well.

The most interesting thing I got out of it is he will play in a U9 division in Madrid that plays 7V7
